『你要將這一切話告訴他們，雖則他們不聽從；你要呼喚他們，儘管他們不應；

耶利米啊，你将这番话告诉他们，他们也不会听；你向他们呼吁，他们也不会回应。

“你要把这一切话告诉他们，他们却不听从你；你呼叫他们，他们也不回应。

耶利米啊，你將這番話告訴他們，他們也不會聽；你向他們呼籲，他們也不會回應。

“你要把這一切話告訴他們，他們卻不聽從你；你呼叫他們，他們也不回應。

爾將告以斯言、惟彼不聽、爾將呼之、惟彼不應、

上帝告先知曰、爾雖有命、民不聽從、爾雖招徠、民不應命。

爾耶利米以此言告之、彼仍不聽爾、爾招之來、彼仍不應爾、

“ When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you; when you call to them, they will not answer.

“ Jeremiah, when you tell them all this, they will not listen to you. When you call out to them, they will not answer.

“ So you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall call to them, but they will not answer you.

“ Tell them all this, but do not expect them to listen. Shout out your warnings, but do not expect them to respond.

“ When you speak all these things to them, they will not listen to you. When you call to them, they will not answer you.

“ So you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you; and you shall call to them, but they will not answer you.

“ Therefore you shall speak all these words to them, but they will not obey you. You shall also call to them, but they will not answer you.

And thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.

“ When you speak all these things to them, they will not listen to you. When you call to them, they will not answer you.

Therefore thou shalt speak all these words unto them; but they will not hearken to thee: thou shalt also call unto them; but they will not answer thee.

Then the LORD said to me,“ When you tell them all this, they will not listen to you. When you call out to them, they will not respond to you.

“ You shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you. You shall also call to them, but they will not answer you.

『永恆主這麼說：你要站在永恆主之殿的院子，對猶大眾城市的人、那些到永恆主之殿來敬拜的、將我所吩咐你對他們說的話都告訴他們，一個字也不可減少。

永恆主對我說：『你不要說「我年輕」；因為我差遣你去見誰，你都要去；我吩咐你說甚麼話，你都要說。

『我呼喚，他們既怎樣不聽，那麼他們呼求，我也就照樣不聞了』：這是萬軍之永恆主說的。

我卻要命定你們歸於刀下；你們都必屈身被屠殺；因為我呼喚，你們不回答；我說話，你們都不聽；我所看為壞的、你們倒去行；我不喜悅的、你們反而選擇。

我來的時候、為甚麼沒有人等候呢？我呼喚時、為甚麼沒有人回答呢？難道我手臂太短、不能贖救麼？或是說：我沒有援救之力麼？看哪，我以叱責使海乾涸；我使江河變為曠野；其中的魚因無水而發臭，乾渴而死。

他說：你去對這人民說：『你們聽了又聽吧！但總不明白！你們看了又看吧！但總不曉得！你去使這人民心蒙脂油，耳朵發沉，將他們的眼塗抹掉，免得他們用眼看見，用耳聽見，心裏明白，而回轉過來，而得醫治！』

這眾兒子硬着頭皮，心裏剛硬；我差遣你去找他們；你要對他們說：「主永恆主這麼說」。他們或者聽或者不聽，（他們原是叛逆之家）總會知道在他們中間是有了神言人了。人子啊，你不要怕他們，他們的話你可不要懼怕，雖有頂撞和藐視的人如同荊棘和蒺藜在你那裏，你又住在蠍子中間；他們的話你可不要懼怕，你不要因他們的臉色而驚慌；他們原是叛逆之家。他們或者聽、或者不聽，你只管將我的話告訴他們；他們原是叛逆之家呀。

『人子啊，我立了你做以色列家的守望人；你若從我口中聽到話語，總要替我警告他們。我若指着惡人說：「你必定死」，你若不警告他，不告訴惡人而警告他離開他惡的行徑，好救活他自己，那這惡人就必死在他的罪孽中，流他血的罪呢、我卻要從你手裏追討。

因為上帝全部的計畫、我並沒有退縮而不傳告你們。

他對我說：『人子啊，你去找以色列家，將我的話對他們講說。你奉差遣不是去找那說話深奧、語言難懂的人民，乃是去找以色列家：不是去找說話深奧、語言難懂的許多外族之民，他們的話是你不曉得聽的；我若差遣你去找他們，他們就必聽你。然而以色列家卻不肯聽你，因為他們不肯聽我；因為以色列全家原是頭額堅硬、心裏剛愎的人。看哪，我使你的頭皮堅硬以敵對他們的頭皮，使你的頭額堅硬以敵對他們的頭額。我使你的頭額像金鋼鑽，比火石更堅硬；他們雖是叛逆之家，你可不要怕他們，不要因他們的臉色而驚慌。』他又對我說：『人子啊，我要對你說的我一切的話、你都要心裏領會，耳中細聽。你去找你本國流亡的子民，他們或者聽，或者不聽，你總要對他們講話，向他們說：「主永恆主這麼說。」』

他們必攻擊你，卻不能制勝你；因為是我與你同在、要援救你：這是永恆主發神諭說的。』
