For when I brought your ancestors out of Egypt and spoke to them, I did not just give them commands about burnt offerings and sacrifices,

我欲矜恤、不欲祭祀、欲識上帝之知識、愈於燔祭、

撒母耳曰、耶和華豈喜燔祭及他祭、如喜聽其言乎、夫順服愈於祭祀、聽從愈於羊脂、

蓋我來非召義人、乃召罪人耳、○

祭祀禮儀、非爾所悅、燔祭罪祭、非爾所欲、爾啟我耳兮、

爾不喜祭品、否則我必獻之、燔祭非爾所悅兮、所以祭上帝者、乃憂傷之神、憂傷痛悔之心、爾不蔑視兮、○

我不因爾祭品而加責、爾之燔祭、恆在我前兮、不取牡牛於爾家、不取山羊於爾牢兮、叢林百獸、千山羣畜、悉屬我兮、山嶽之禽、皆我所知、原野之獸、為我所有兮、我若飢、不告爾、世界與充其中者、咸屬我兮、我豈食牡牛之肉、飲山羊之血乎、其以感謝為祭、獻於上帝、向至高者償爾願兮、患難之日、爾當籲我、我必援爾、爾亦榮我兮、○上帝語惡人曰、爾奚稱道我律、口言我約、實則厭我訓誨、委我言於後兮、

且盡心、盡意、盡力、愛主、又愛鄰如己、則愈於諸燔犧祭祀矣、
