therefore I will do to the house which is called by my name, in which you trust, and to the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I did to Shiloh.

故我所錫爾祖、及爾之地、與斯殿為籲我名之所、爾所恃者、我必敗之、如昔敗示羅然。

故我必廢棄斯殿、為我名而建者、即爾所恃者、亦必廢棄我所賜爾與爾列祖之處、如昔我在示羅所行者然、

Therefore, what I did to Shiloh I will now do to the house that bears my Name, the temple you trust in, the place I gave to you and your ancestors.

So what I did to Shiloh I will now do to the house where my Name is. It is the temple you trust in. It is the place I gave to you and your people of long ago.

therefore I will do to the house that is called by my name, and in which you trust, and to the place that I gave to you and to your fathers, as I did to Shiloh.

So just as I destroyed Shiloh, I will now destroy this Temple that bears my name, this Temple that you trust in for help, this place that I gave to you and your ancestors.

what I did to Shiloh I will do to the house that bears my name, the house in which you trust, the place that I gave you and your ancestors.

therefore I will do to the house which is called by My name, in which you trust, and to the place which I gave you and your fathers, just as I did to Shiloh.

therefore will I do unto the house which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I did to Shiloh.

what I did to Shiloh I will do to the house that is called by My name— the house in which you trust— the place that I gave you and your ancestors.

Therefore will I do unto[ this] house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh.

So I will destroy this temple which I have claimed as my own, this temple that you are trusting to protect you. I will destroy this place that I gave to you and your ancestors, just like I destroyed Shiloh.

Don’t trust in lying words, saying,‘ Yahweh’s temple, Yahweh’s temple, Yahweh’s temple, are these.’

He burned Yahweh’s house, the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, he burned with fire.

They will besiege you in all your gates until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout all your land. They will besiege you in all your gates throughout all your land which Yahweh your God has given you.

then come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say,‘ We are delivered;’ that you may do all these abominations?

Jesus went out from the temple, and was going on his way. His disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple.But he answered them,“ You see all of these things, don’t you? Most certainly I tell you, there will not be left here one stone on another, that will not be thrown down.”

To the others he said in my hearing,“ Go through the city after him, and strike. Don’t let your eye spare, neither have pity.Kill utterly the old man, the young man, the virgin, little children and women; but don’t come near any man on whom is the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.” Then they began at the old men who were before the house.He said to them,“ Defile the house, and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!” They went out, and struck in the city.

so that he abandoned the tent of Shiloh, the tent which he placed among men,

He burned Yahweh’s house, and the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house, he burned with fire.All the army of the Chaldeans, who were with the captain of the guard, broke down all the walls of Jerusalem all around.Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive of the poorest of the people, and the residue of the people who were left in the city, and those who fell away, who fell to the king of Babylon, and the residue of the multitude.But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poorest of the land to be vineyard keepers and farmers.The Chaldeans broke the pillars of bronze that were in Yahweh’s house, and the bases and the bronze sea that were in Yahweh’s house in pieces, and carried all of their bronze to Babylon.They also took away the pots, the shovels, the snuffers, the basins, the spoons, and all the vessels of bronze with which they ministered.The captain of the guard took away the cups, the fire pans, the basins, the pots, the lamp stands, the spoons, and the bowls; that which was of gold, in gold, and that which was of silver, in silver.They took the two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve bronze bulls that were under the bases, which king Solomon had made for Yahweh’s house. The bronze of all these vessels was without weight.As for the pillars, the height of the one pillar was eighteen cubits; and a line of twelve cubits encircled it; and its thickness was four fingers. It was hollow.A capital of bronze was on it; and the height of the one capital was five cubits, with network and pomegranates on the capital all around, all of bronze: and the second pillar also had like these, and pomegranates.There were ninety- six pomegranates on the sides; all the pomegranates were one hundred on the network all around.

But to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, you shall seek his habitation, and you shall come there.

“ Micah the Morashtite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah; and he spoke to all the people of Judah, saying,‘ Yahweh of Armies says:“‘ Zion will be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem will become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.’

As for the beauty of his ornament, he set it in majesty; but they made the images of their abominations and their detestable things therein. Therefore I have made it to them as an unclean thing.I will give it into the hands of the strangers for a prey, and to the wicked of the earth for a plunder; and they will profane it.I will also turn my face from them, and they will profane my secret place. Robbers will enter into it, and profane it.

Our holy and our beautiful house where our fathers praised you is burned with fire. All our pleasant places are laid waste.

How the gold has become dim! The most pure gold has changed! The stones of the sanctuary are poured out at the head of every street.

All the vessels of God’s house, great and small, and the treasures of Yahweh’s house, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes, all these he brought to Babylon.They burned God’s house, and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burned all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all of its valuable vessels.

Her leaders judge for bribes, and her priests teach for a price, and her prophets of it tell fortunes for money: yet they lean on Yahweh, and say,“ Isn’t Yahweh among us? No disaster will come on us.”Therefore Zion for your sake will be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem will become heaps of rubble, and the mountain of the temple like the high places of a forest.

Now they break all its carved work down with hatchet and hammers.They have burned your sanctuary to the ground. They have profaned the dwelling place of your Name.They said in their heart,“ We will crush them completely.” They have burned up all the places in the land where God was worshiped.

The Philistines fought, and Israel was defeated, and each man fled to his tent. There was a very great slaughter; for thirty thousand footmen of Israel fell.God’s ark was taken; and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were slain.

then I will cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and I will cast this house, which I have made holy for my name, out of my sight; and Israel will be a proverb and a byword among all peoples.Though this house is so high, yet everyone who passes by it will be astonished and hiss; and they will say,‘ Why has Yahweh done this to this land, and to this house?’

and set up false witnesses who said,“ This man never stops speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the law.For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place, and will change the customs which Moses delivered to us.”

‘ Speak to the house of Israel,“ The Lord Yahweh says:‘ Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pities; and your sons and your daughters whom you have left behind will fall by the sword.

then I will make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.”’”The priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in Yahweh’s house.When Jeremiah had finished speaking all that Yahweh had commanded him to speak to all the people, the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, saying,“ You shall surely die!Why have you prophesied in Yahweh’s name, saying,‘ This house will be like Shiloh, and this city will be desolate, without inhabitant?’” All the people were crowded around Jeremiah in Yahweh’s house.

This house, which is so high, everyone who passes by it shall be astonished, and shall say,‘ Why has Yahweh done this to this land and to this house?’

“ But go now to my place which was in Shiloh, where I caused my name to dwell at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.

The Lord has cast off his altar. He has abhorred his sanctuary. He has given the walls of her palaces into the hand of the enemy. They have made a noise in Yahweh’s house, as in the day of a solemn assembly.
