你請到我的地方，就是那在示羅的，我起先使我的名居住的所在，去察看我因我人民以色列的邪惡對那地所行的怎麼樣。

可往示羅、昔我寄名之所、視我為我民以色列邪惡、所行之事、

昔以示羅為籲我名之所、以色列族作惡、我既有以處之矣。爾可往觀。

昔示羅有我殿、我使我名在彼、因我民以色列作惡、我廢棄矣、爾可往觀、

“‘ Go now to the place in Shiloh where I first made a dwelling for my Name, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of my people Israel.

“‘ “Go now to the town of Shiloh. Go to the place where I first made a home for my Name. See what I did to it because of the evil things my people Israel were doing.

“‘ Go now to the place at Shiloh where I once put the Tabernacle that bore my name. See what I did there because of all the wickedness of my people, the Israelites.

非利士人進攻，以色列人敗了，各往自己的家逃跑。被殺的人很多，以色列倒下的步兵有三萬。神的約櫃被擄去，以利的兩個兒子何弗尼、非尼哈也都被殺了。

神的家在示羅多少日子，但人為自己設立米迦所雕刻的像也在但多少日子。

我就必使這殿如示羅，使這城成為地上萬國所詛咒的。』」

她又說：「榮耀離開以色列，因為神的約櫃被擄去了。」

以色列全會眾都聚集在示羅，把會幕設立在那裏。那地已經被他們征服了。

甚至離棄示羅的帳幕，就是他在人間所搭的帳棚；又將他有能力的約櫃交給人擄去，將他的榮耀交在敵人手中；並將他的百姓交給刀劍，向他的產業發怒。壯丁被火燒滅，童女也無婚禮頌歌。祭司倒在刀下，寡婦卻不哀哭。

百姓回到營裏，以色列的長老說：「耶和華今日為何使我們敗在非利士人面前呢？我們要將耶和華的約櫃從示羅抬到我們這裏來，好讓他來到我們中間，救我們脫離敵人的手掌。」於是百姓派人到示羅，從那裏將坐在二基路伯上萬軍之耶和華的約櫃抬來。以利的兩個兒子何弗尼、非尼哈也與神的約櫃同來。

那時你們要將我所吩咐你們的燔祭、祭物、十一奉獻、手中的舉祭，和向耶和華許願的一切上好的祭，都帶到耶和華－你們神所選擇立他名的居所。

這人每年從本城上到示羅，敬拜萬軍之耶和華，向他獻祭。在那裏有以利的兩個兒子何弗尼和非尼哈當耶和華的祭司。

但耶和華－你們的神在你們各支派中選擇何處作為立他名的居所，你們就要到那裏求問，
