“‘ Go now to the place in Shiloh where I first made a dwelling for my Name, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of my people Israel.

昔以示羅為籲我名之所、以色列族作惡、我既有以處之矣。爾可往觀。

昔示羅有我殿、我使我名在彼、因我民以色列作惡、我廢棄矣、爾可往觀、

“‘ “Go now to the town of Shiloh. Go to the place where I first made a home for my Name. See what I did to it because of the evil things my people Israel were doing.

Go now to my place that was in Shiloh, where I made my name dwell at first, and see what I did to it because of the evil of my people Israel.

“‘ Go now to the place at Shiloh where I once put the Tabernacle that bore my name. See what I did there because of all the wickedness of my people, the Israelites.

“‘ But return to my place that was at Shiloh, where I made my name dwell at first. See what I did to it because of the evil of my people Israel.

“ But go now to My place which was in Shiloh, where I made My name dwell at the beginning, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of My people Israel.

“ But go now to My place which was in Shiloh, where I set My name at the first, and see what I did to it because of the wickedness of My people Israel.

“ But return to My place that was at Shiloh, where I made My name dwell at first. See what I did to it because of the evil of My people Israel.

So, go to the place in Shiloh where I allowed myself to be worshiped in the early days. See what I did to it because of the wicked things my people Israel did.

So the Philistines fought, and the Israelites were defeated and every man fled to his tent. The slaughter was very great; Israel lost thirty thousand foot soldiers.The ark of God was captured, and Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, died.

They continued to use the idol Micah had made, all the time the house of God was in Shiloh.

then I will make this house like Shiloh and this city a curse among all the nations of the earth.’”

She said,“ The Glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured.”

The whole assembly of the Israelites gathered at Shiloh and set up the tent of meeting there. The country was brought under their control,

He abandoned the tabernacle of Shiloh, the tent he had set up among humans.He sent the ark of his might into captivity, his splendor into the hands of the enemy.He gave his people over to the sword; he was furious with his inheritance.Fire consumed their young men, and their young women had no wedding songs;their priests were put to the sword, and their widows could not weep.

When the soldiers returned to camp, the elders of Israel asked,“ Why did the Lord bring defeat on us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Shiloh, so that he may go with us and save us from the hand of our enemies.”So the people sent men to Shiloh, and they brought back the ark of the covenant of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim. And Eli’s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

Then to the place the Lord your God will choose as a dwelling for his Name— there you are to bring everything I command you: your burnt offerings and sacrifices, your tithes and special gifts, and all the choice possessions you have vowed to the Lord.

Year after year this man went up from his town to worship and sacrifice to the Lord Almighty at Shiloh, where Hophni and Phinehas, the two sons of Eli, were priests of the Lord.

But you are to seek the place the Lord your God will choose from among all your tribes to put his Name there for his dwelling. To that place you must go;
