Do not go out to the fields or walk on the roads, for the enemy has a sword, and there is terror on every side.

我聞多人之謗言、在我四圍有驚惶之事、彼眾聚集以攻我、謀害我命、

我聞眾人之讒謗、我隨在驚惶、彼此相語必控我、素與我相交在我側者、亦云我儕盍誘之、或可勝之、以復我仇於其身、

四周有患難使之恐惶、追其足後、

先知告民曰、我儕坐此何為、當會集入鞏固之城、在彼默默無言、默默無言或作淪亡下同我儕獲罪於主我之天主、使我飲苦毒之水、使我默默無言、

爾曹播告於猶大、宣示於耶路撒冷曰、當吹角於斯地、高聲而呼曰、爾曹聚集、爾我當入鞏固之城、

明日、巴施戶珥釋耶利米於桎梏、耶利米告之曰、主不復稱爾名為巴施戶珥、乃稱為瑪歌珥米撒畢瑪歌珥米撒畢譯即隨處驚惶之義蓋主如是云、我將使爾驚惶、使爾友朋見爾驚惶、彼將殞亡於敵人之刃、使爾目睹、我亦必以猶大眾、付於巴比倫王手、擄至巴比倫、亦擊之以刃、

當亞拿子珊甲時、雅億居世之日、道途荒涼、行路者皆行曲徑、以色列中無長者、直至我底波拉起、起而為以色列之母、

我耶利米曰、哀哉、主天主歟、主任人欺斯民及耶路撒冷人曰、爾曹必得平康、今反鋒刃害及生命矣、

當此時、列國居民、大遭擾亂、人之出入、不得平康、

日將至、爾敵必築壘攻爾、四圍困爾、

如爾不願聽、反加忤逆、必為刃所殺、此乃主之口所言、
