Hear, earth: behold, I am bringing disaster on this people, The fruit of their plans, Because they have not listened to My words, And as for My Law, they have rejected it also.

我告天下、尚其聽予、斯民不從我言、不遵我法、故我降災、罰其詭謀。

Hear, you earth: I am bringing disaster on this people, the fruit of their schemes, because they have not listened to my words and have rejected my law.

Earth, pay attention. I am going to bring trouble on them. I will punish them because of the evil things they have done. They have not listened to my words. They have said no to my law.

Hear, O earth; behold, I am bringing disaster upon this people, the fruit of their devices, because they have not paid attention to my words; and as for my law, they have rejected it.

The wise men are put to shame, They are dismayed and caught; Behold, they have rejected the word of the Lord, So what kind of wisdom do they have?

O land, land, land, Hear the word of the Lord!

Listen, heavens, and hear, earth; For the Lord has spoken:“ Sons I have raised and brought up, But they have revolted against Me.

And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil.For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed.But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.”

Therefore, repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intention of your heart will be forgiven you.

“ For I know their works and their thoughts; the time is coming to gather all the nations and tongues. And they shall come and see My glory.

“ Listen, you heavens, and I will speak; And let the earth hear the words of my mouth!

“ This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says:‘ Behold, I am going to bring on this city and all its towns the entire disaster that I have declared against it, because they have stiffened their necks so as not to listen to My words.’ ”

Because I called and you refused, I stretched out my hand and no one paid attention;And you neglected all my advice And did not want my rebuke;I will also laugh at your disaster; I will mock when your dread comes,When your dread comes like a storm And your disaster comes like a whirlwind, When distress and anguish come upon you.Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently but will not find me,Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the Lord.They did not accept my advice, They disdainfully rejected every rebuke from me.So they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, And be filled with their own schemes.

Their feet run to evil, And they hurry to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of wrongdoing, Devastation and destruction are in their paths.

Circumcise yourselves to the Lord And remove the foreskins of your hearts, Men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Or else My wrath will spread like fire And burn with no one to quench it, Because of the evil of your deeds.”

The one who rejects Me and does not accept My teachings has one who judges him: the word which I spoke. That will judge him on the last day.

For rebellion is as reprehensible as the sin of divination, And insubordination is as reprehensible as false religion and idolatry. Since you have rejected the word of the Lord, He has also rejected you from being king.”

Evil plans are an abomination to the Lord, But pleasant words are pure.

One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law, Even his prayer is an abomination.

I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today, that you will certainly perish quickly from the land where you are going over the Jordan to take possession of it. You will not live long on it, but will be utterly destroyed.

You have plowed wickedness, you have harvested injustice, You have eaten the fruit of lies. Because you have trusted in your way, in your many warriors,

I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, To give to each person according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds.

Listen, you mountains, to the indictment by the Lord, And you enduring foundations of the earth, Because the Lord has a case against His people; And He will dispute with Israel.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Since you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being My priest. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I also will forget your children.

To whom shall I speak and give warning, That they may hear? Behold, their ears are closed And they cannot listen. Behold, the word of the Lord has become for them a rebuke; They take no delight in it.

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have placed before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So choose life in order that you may live, you and your descendants,

But Samuel said to Saul,“ I will not return with you; for you have rejected the word of the Lord, and the Lord has rejected you from being king over Israel.”
