我將與誰言以警之、使之聞乎、其耳未潔、致不能聽、耶和華之言、彼視為辱、不以為悅、

我將與誰言、使之聽命、彼充耳不聽、彼姍笑我命、不以為悅。

我可與誰言、而警戒誰、使之聽從、彼塞耳不聽、哂笑主之言、不以為悅、

To whom can I speak and give warning? Who will listen to me? Their ears are closed so they cannot hear. The word of the Lord is offensive to them; they find no pleasure in it.

Who can I speak to? Who can I warn? Who will even listen to me? Their ears are closed so they can’t hear. The Lord’ s message displeases them. They don’t take any delight in it.

To whom shall I speak and give warning, that they may hear? Behold, their ears are uncircumcised, they cannot listen; behold, the word of the Lord is to them an object of scorn; they take no pleasure in it.

To whom can I give warning? Who will listen when I speak? Their ears are closed, and they cannot hear. They scorn the word of the Lord. They don’t want to listen at all.

Who can I speak to and give such a warning that they will listen? Look, their ear is uncircumcised, so they cannot pay attention. See, the word of the LORD has become contemptible to them— they find no pleasure in it.

To whom shall I speak and give warning, That they may hear? Behold, their ears are closed And they cannot listen. Behold, the word of the Lord has become for them a rebuke; They take no delight in it.

To whom shall I speak and testify, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of Jehovah is become unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

Who can I speak to and give such a warning that they will listen? Look, their ear is uncircumcised, so they cannot pay attention. See, the word of the Lord has become contemptible to them— they find no pleasure in it.

To whom shall I speak, and give warning, that they may hear? behold, their ear[ is] uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the LORD is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it.

I answered,“ Who would listen if I spoke to them and warned them? Their ears are so closed that they cannot hear! Indeed, what the LORD says is offensive to them. They do not like it at all.

To whom should I speak and testify, that they may hear? Behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they can’t listen. Behold, Yahweh’s word has become a reproach to them. They have no delight in it.

“ You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.

Yet they did not obey Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck. They did worse than their fathers.

And Moses spoke before the Lord, saying,“ The children of Israel have not heeded me. How then shall Pharaoh heed me, for I am of uncircumcised lips?”

Who has believed our report? And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

I long for Your salvation, O Lord, And Your law is my delight.

Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying,“ Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words.

Nevertheless if you warn the wicked to turn from his way, and he does not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.

“ Whom will he teach knowledge? And whom will he make to understand the message? Those just weaned from milk? Those just drawn from the breasts?For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little.”For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people,To whom He said,“ This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest,” And,“ This is the refreshing”; Yet they would not hear.But the word of the Lord was to them,“ Precept upon precept, precept upon precept, Line upon line, line upon line, Here a little, there a little,” That they might go and fall backward, and be broken And snared and caught.

And the Lord God of their fathers sent warnings to them by His messengers, rising up early and sending them, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place.But they mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against His people, till there was no remedy.

Then one of the lawyers answered and said to Him,“ Teacher, by saying these things You reproach us also.”

For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers;

I will delight myself in Your statutes; I will not forget Your word.

Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.

I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.”

Therefore I said,“ Surely these are poor. They are foolish; For they do not know the way of the Lord, The judgment of their God.I will go to the great men and speak to them, For they have known the way of the Lord, The judgment of their God.” But these have altogether broken the yoke And burst the bonds.

Your testimonies also are my delight And my counselors.

For when I spoke, I cried out; I shouted,“ Violence and plunder!” Because the word of the Lord was made to me A reproach and a derision daily.Then I said,“ I will not make mention of Him, Nor speak anymore in His name.” But His word was in my heart like a burning fire Shut up in my bones; I was weary of holding it back, And I could not.

By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

Yet the Lord has not given you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, to this very day.

when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people,

And the chief priests and the scribes that very hour sought to lay hands on Him, but they feared the people— for they knew He had spoken this parable against them.

But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them,“ Brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

When I say to the wicked,‘ You shall surely die,’ and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life, that same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.Yet, if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered your soul.“ Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die; because you did not give him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand.Nevertheless if you warn the righteous man that the righteous should not sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; also you will have delivered your soul.”

And He said,“ Go, and tell this people:‘ Keep on hearing, but do not understand; Keep on seeing, but do not perceive.’“ Make the heart of this people dull, And their ears heavy, And shut their eyes; Lest they see with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand with their heart, And return and be healed.”

Then he knelt down and cried out with a loud voice,“ Lord, do not charge them with this sin.” And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Circumcise yourselves to the Lord, And take away the foreskins of your hearts, You men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem, Lest My fury come forth like fire, And burn so that no one can quench it, Because of the evil of your doings.”

But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And in His law he meditates day and night.

Let Your tender mercies come to me, that I may live; For Your law is my delight.

The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil.

Their heart is as fat as grease, But I delight in Your law.

Then some of the Pharisees who were with Him heard these words, and said to Him,“ Are we blind also?”

Who among you will give ear to this? Who will listen and hear for the time to come?Who gave Jacob for plunder, and Israel to the robbers? Was it not the Lord, He against whom we have sinned? For they would not walk in His ways, Nor were they obedient to His law.Therefore He has poured on him the fury of His anger And the strength of battle; It has set him on fire all around, Yet he did not know; And it burned him, Yet he did not take it to heart.

Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it.
