There at Riblah the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes; he also killed all the officials of Judah.

At Riblah the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah. He forced him to watch it with his own eyes. Nebuchadnezzar also killed all the officials of Judah.

耶和華如此說：「要把這人登記為無子，是平生不得亨通的人；因為他後裔中再無一人得亨通，能坐在大衛的寶座上治理猶大。」

自己走開約有一箭之遠，相對而坐，說：「我不忍心看見孩子死」。她就坐在對面，放聲大哭。

所以主耶和華如此說：你們在城中殺的人是肉，這城是鍋；你們卻要從其中被帶出去。你們怕刀劍，我卻要使刀劍臨到你們。這是主耶和華說的。我要把你們從這城中帶出去，交在外邦人的手裏，且要在你們中間施行審判。你們要仆倒在刀下；我必在以色列的邊界審判你們，你們就知道我是耶和華。這城必不作你們的鍋，你們也不作鍋中的肉。我要在以色列的邊界審判你們，

護衛長拿住西萊雅大祭司、西番亞副祭司和門口的三個守衛，又從城中拿住一個管理士兵的官，並在城裏所找到王面前的五個親信，和召募當地百姓之將軍的書記官，以及在城中找到的六十個當地百姓。尼布撒拉旦護衛長把這些人帶到利比拉的巴比倫王那裏。巴比倫王擊殺他們，在哈馬地的利比拉把他們處死。這樣，猶大人就被擄去離開本地。
