主以色列之天主如是云、我所諭爾之言、筆之於書、主曰、時日將至、我必返我民以色列及猶大被擄之人、主曰、我必使之復歸我所賜其祖之地、得而為業、○

爾當取卷、將我所諭爾論以色列猶大與諸國之言、即自約西亞時、自我初諭爾之日、以迄於今日所諭爾之言、皆書於其上、或者猶大族聞我所欲降之諸災、各改其惡行、則我赦其愆尤罪惡、耶利米召尼利亞子巴錄至、巴錄遂循耶利米口傳、以主諭耶利米諸言、書之於卷、

凡爾所見者、今所有之事、及將來所必成之事、當筆之於書、

主諭我曰、取大簡、以世人通行之文字、書於其上曰、擄事速臨、掠事急至、或作以世人通行之文字書於其上瑪黑珥沙拉勒哈斯罷斯一句我請誠實之人、祭司烏利亞、耶比利迦子撒迦利亞為證、我與妻同室、懷孕生子、主諭我曰、稱其名瑪黑珥沙拉勒哈斯罷斯、譯即擄事速臨掠事急至之義蓋其子尚未識呼父呼母之先、人必將大瑪色之貲財、與撒瑪利亞之貨財、擄於亞述王前、

爾但以理、當謹秘此言、錄之於書、以書封緘、以待末期、眾將稽察、增益見識、○
