“ Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the Lord’s vengeance; he will repay her what she deserves.

“ People of Judah, run away from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of the sins of its people. It is time for me to pay them back. I will punish them for what they have done.

“ Flee from the midst of Babylon; let every one save his life! Be not cut off in her punishment, for this is the time of the Lord’s vengeance, the repayment he is rendering her.

Flee from Babylon! Save yourselves! Don’t get trapped in her punishment! It is the Lord’s time for vengeance; he will repay her in full.

Leave Babylon; save your lives, each of you! Don’t perish because of her guilt. For this is the time of the LORD’s vengeance— he will pay her what she deserves.

“ Wander away from the midst of Babylon And go out from the land of the Chaldeans; Be like male goats at the head of the flock.

Raise your battle cry against her on every side! She has given herself up, her towers have fallen, Her walls have been torn down. For this is the vengeance of the Lord: Take vengeance on her; As she has done to others, so do to her.

There is a sound of fugitives and refugees from the land of Babylon, To declare in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God, Vengeance for His temple.

( For many nations and great kings will make slaves of them, even them; and I will repay them according to their deeds and according to the work of their hands.)’ ”

“ Come out from her midst, My people, And each of you save yourselves From the fierce anger of the Lord.

and he spoke to the congregation, saying,“ Get away now from the tents of these wicked men, and do not touch anything that belongs to them, or you will be swept away in all their sin!”

You who have escaped the sword, Go! Do not stay! Remember the Lord from far away, And let Jerusalem come to your mind.

“ You there! Flee from the land of the north,” declares the Lord,“ because I have spread you out like the four winds of the heavens,” declares the Lord.“ You, Zion! Escape, you who are living with the daughter of Babylon.”

The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give her the cup of the wine of His fierce wrath.

“ Behold, I am against you, arrogant one,” Declares the Lord God of armies,“ For your day has come, The time when I will punish you.

We applied healing to Babylon, but she was not healed; Abandon her and let’s each go to his own country, For her judgment has reached to heaven And it rises to the clouds.

Go out from Babylon! Flee from the Chaldeans! Declare with the sound of joyful shouting, proclaim this, Send it out to the end of the earth; Say,“ The Lord has redeemed His servant Jacob.”

Sharpen the arrows, fill the quivers! The Lord has stirred up the spirit of the kings of the Medes, Because His plan is against Babylon to destroy it; For it is the vengeance of the Lord, vengeance for His temple.

If I have sharpened My flashing sword, And My hand has taken hold of justice, I will return vengeance on My adversaries, And I will repay those who hate Me.

Outside the sword will make them childless, And inside, terror— Both young man and virgin, The nursing child with the man of gray hair.

Do not lay hands upon anyone too quickly and thereby share responsibility for the sins of others; keep yourself free from sin.

All the nations shall serve him and his son and his grandson until the time of his own land comes; then many nations and great kings will make him their servant.

For that day belongs to the Lord God of armies, A day of vengeance, so as to avenge Himself on His foes; And the sword will devour and be satisfied, And drink its fill of their blood; For there will be a slaughter for the Lord God of armies, In the land of the north at the river Euphrates.

Rejoice, you nations, with His people; For He will avenge the blood of His servants, And will return vengeance on His adversaries, And will atone for His land and His people.”

One who walks with wise people will be wise, But a companion of fools will suffer harm.

I heard another voice from heaven, saying,“ Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive any of her plagues;for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her offenses.Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her.

When morning dawned, the angels urged Lot, saying,“ Up, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, or you will be swept away in the punishment of the city.”But he hesitated. So the men grasped his hand and the hand of his wife and the hands of his two daughters, because the compassion of the Lord was upon him; and they brought him out and put him outside the city.When they had brought them outside, one said,“ Escape for your life! Do not look behind you, and do not stay anywhere in the surrounding area; escape to the mountains, or you will be swept away.”

Then they will drink and loudly vomit and act insanely because of the sword that I am going to send among them.”
