因為永恆主正在摧毁着巴比倫；使出於其中的大聲音息滅；仇敵的波浪喧囂匉訇如眾水；他們鬨嚷的聲音響起了。

蓋耶和華使巴比倫荒蕪、絕其中之譁然、敵若大水、波濤漰渤、發其喧闐之聲、

蓋我耶和華滅巴比倫、邑中譁然、聲若波濤洶湧、我平息之。

主滅巴比倫、其中諠譁、聲若大水之波濤洶湧、必使盡息、

The Lord will destroy Babylon; he will silence her noisy din. Waves of enemies will rage like great waters; the roar of their voices will resound.

I will destroy Babylon. I will put an end to all its noise. Waves of enemies will sweep through it like great waters. The roar of their voices will fill the air.

For the Lord is laying Babylon waste and stilling her mighty voice. Their waves roar like many waters; the noise of their voice is raised,

For the Lord is destroying Babylon. He will silence her loud voice. Waves of enemies pound against her; the noise of battle rings through the city.

For the LORD is going to devastate Babylon; he will silence her mighty voice. Their waves roar like a huge torrent; the tumult of their voice resounds,

For the Lord is going to destroy Babylon, And He will make her loud noise vanish from her. And their waves will roar like many waters; The clamor of their voices sounds forth.

Because the Lord is plundering Babylon And silencing her loud voice, Though her waves roar like great waters, And the noise of their voice is uttered,

For Jehovah layeth Babylon waste, and destroyeth out of her the great voice; and their waves roar like many waters; the noise of their voice is uttered:

For the Lord is going to devastate Babylon; He will silence her mighty voice. Their waves roar like abundant waters; the tumult of their voice resounds,

Because the LORD hath spoiled Babylon, and destroyed out of her the great voice; when her waves do roar like great waters, a noise of their voice is uttered:

For the LORD is ready to destroy Babylon, and put an end to her loud noise. Their waves will roar like turbulent waters. They will make a deafening noise.

For Yahweh lays Babylon waste, and destroys out of her the great voice! Their waves roar like many waters. The noise of their voice is uttered.

我又要止息他们欢喜和快乐的声音、新郎和新娘的声音、推磨的声音和灯的亮光。

天使又对我说：“你所看见那淫妇坐的众水，就是许多民族、人民、邦国、语言。

他们要像少壮狮子一同咆哮，像小狮子吼叫。他们食欲一来的时候，我必为他们摆设酒席，使他们沉醉，好叫他们快乐；他们睡了长觉，永不醒起。这是耶和华说的。

列邦喧闹，如同大水滔滔；但神一斥责，他们就远远躲避，他们被追赶，如同山上风前的糠秕，又如暴风前的碎秸；

使诸海的响声和其中波浪的响声，并万民的喧哗，都平静了。

死亡的绳索勒住我，毁灭的急流惊吓我，

海水涨起，漫过巴比伦；澎湃的海浪遮盖了它。

所以，主耶和华如此说：推罗，看哪，我与你为敌，使许多国家涌上攻击你，如同海洋使波浪涌上一样。

论摩押的默示。一夜之间，摩押的亚珥变为荒废，归于无有；一夜之间，摩押的基珥变为荒废，归于无有。

耶和华啊，大水扬起，大水发声，大水澎湃。耶和华在高处大有威力，胜过诸水的响声，洋海的大浪。

“日月星辰要显出预兆，地上的邦国也有困苦，因海中波浪的响声而惶惶不安。

弹琴、歌唱、吹笛、吹号的声音，在你中间绝对听不见了；各行手艺的技工在你中间绝对见不到了；推磨的声音在你中间绝对听不见了；灯台的光在你中间绝对不再照耀了；新郎和新娘的声音在你中间绝对听不见了。你的商人原来是地上的显要；万国也被你的邪术迷惑了。

迦勒底啊，你要静坐，进入黑暗中，因你不再称为万国之后。

迦勒底要成为掠物，凡掳掠它的都必心满意足。这是耶和华说的。”抢夺我产业的啊，你们因欢喜快乐，像踹谷嬉戏的母牛犊，又像发嘶声的壮马。你们的母亲极其抱愧，生你们的必然蒙羞。看哪，她要列在诸国之末，成为旷野、旱地、沙漠；因耶和华的愤怒，巴比伦必无人居住，全然荒凉，凡经过的都要受惊骇，又因它所遭的灾殃嗤笑。所有拉弓的啊，要在巴比伦的四围摆阵，射箭攻击它，不用爱惜箭枝，因为它得罪了耶和华。要在它四围呐喊：“它已经投降，堡垒坍塌了，城墙拆毁了！”这是耶和华所报的仇。你们要向它报仇；它怎样待人，你们也要怎样待它。

击鼓之乐停止，狂欢者的喧哗止住，弹琴之乐也停止了。人不再饮酒唱歌，喝烈酒的，必以为苦。荒凉的城拆毁了，各家关闭，无法进入。有人在街上嚷着要酒喝，一切的喜乐变为昏暗，地上的欢乐全都消失。
