將要被滅的巴比倫城啊，報復你像你待我們的，那人便為有福！拿你的嬰孩摔在磐石上的，那人便為有福！

因為你們怎樣論斷人，也必怎樣被論斷；你們用甚麼量器量給人，也必用甚麼量器量給你們。

亞多尼‧比色說：「從前有七十個王，手腳的大拇指都被我砍斷，在我桌子底下拾取零碎食物。現在神按着我所行的報應我了。」於是他們將亞多尼‧比色帶到耶路撒冷，他就死在那裏。

耶和華已經彰顯我們的公義。來吧！我們可以在錫安報告耶和華－我們神的作為。你們要磨尖了箭頭，抓住盾牌。耶和華定意攻擊巴比倫，將她毀滅，所以激動了米底亞君王的心；因這是耶和華報仇，就是為自己的殿報仇。

「以色列是打散的羊，是被獅子趕出的。首先是亞述王將他吞滅，末後是巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒將他的骨頭折斷。」所以萬軍之耶和華－以色列的神如此說：「我必罰巴比倫王和他的地，像我從前罰亞述王一樣。

因為那不憐憫人的，也要受無憐憫的審判；憐憫原是向審判誇勝。
