錫安民曰、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒噬我毀我、棄我如空器、吞我如鱷魚、以我珍饈果腹、驅我而出、彼虐遇我、暨我骨肉、願罪歸巴比倫、耶路撒冷民曰、彼流我血、願罪歸迦勒底居民、

郇邑及耶路撒冷民曰、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、噬予滅予、使我為虛器、吞我若蛇、飫我肥甘、逐我遠去、彼虐遇予、殺予戚屬、罪必歸巴比倫、及迦勒底民。

巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒噬我、毀我、使我如空器、吞我若龍、以我珍羞充滿其腹、且驅逐我、

“ Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has devoured us, he has thrown us into confusion, he has made us an empty jar. Like a serpent he has swallowed us and filled his stomach with our delicacies, and then has spewed us out.

The people of Jerusalem say,“ Nebuchadnezzar, the king of Babylon, has destroyed us. He has thrown us into a panic. He has emptied us out like a jar. Like a snake he has swallowed us up. He has filled his stomach with our rich food. Then he has spit us out of his mouth.”

“ Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon has devoured me; he has crushed me; he has made me an empty vessel; he has swallowed me like a monster; he has filled his stomach with my delicacies; he has rinsed me out.

“ King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon has eaten and crushed us and drained us of strength. He has swallowed us like a great monster and filled his belly with our riches. He has thrown us out of our own country.

“ King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon has devoured me; he has crushed me. He has set me aside like an empty dish; he has swallowed me like a sea monster; he filled his belly with my delicacies; he has vomited me out.

“ Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon has devoured me; he has crushed me. He has set me aside like an empty dish; he has swallowed me like a sea monster; he filled his belly with my delicacies; he has vomited me out,”

Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out.

“ King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon devoured me and drove my people out. Like a monster from the deep he swallowed me. He filled his belly with my riches. He made me an empty dish. He completely cleaned me out.”

“ Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon has devoured me. He has crushed me. He has made me an empty vessel. He has, like a monster, swallowed me up. He has filled his mouth with my delicacies. He has cast me out.

以色列是打散的羊，被狮子赶散。首先是亚述王将他吞灭，末后是巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒折断他的骨头。

我要惩罚巴比伦的彼勒，使它吐出所吞之物。列国必不再流归到它那里，巴比伦的城墙也必坍塌。

他吞了财宝，还要吐出；神要从他腹中掏出来。

看哪，耶和华使地空虚，变为荒芜，地面扭曲，居民四散。那时，百姓如何，祭司也如何；仆人如何，主人也如何；婢女如何，主母也如何；买主如何，卖主也如何；放债的如何，借贷的也如何；债主如何，欠债的也如何。地必全然空虚，尽都荒芜，因为这话是耶和华说的。

你所有的仇敌张口来攻击你；他们嗤笑，切齿，说：“我们把她吞灭了，这是我们所盼望的日子！我们终于等到了，亲眼看见了！”

“你们这假冒为善的文士和法利赛人有祸了！因为你们当着人的面把天国的门关了，自己不进去，要进去的人，你们也不容他们进去。

所以你要预言，说：主耶和华如此说：因为敌人使你荒凉，四围践踏你，要叫你归其余的列国为业，使你们成为各族的话柄与百姓的笑谈；

你们这些践踏贫穷人、使这地困苦人衰败的，当听这话！

耶和华复兴雅各的荣华，像复兴以色列的荣华；因为蹂躏者曾经蹂躏他们，毁坏了他们的葡萄枝。

他用手绑我罪过的轭，卷绕着加在我颈项上；他使我力量衰败。主将我交在我不能抵挡的人手中。主弃绝我们当中所有的勇士，聚集会众攻击我，要压碎我的年轻人。主踹下少女犹大，在榨酒池中。

你们抢夺金子吧！你们抢夺银子吧！因为所积蓄的无穷，华美的宝器无数。荒芜，荒凉，全然荒废，人心害怕，双膝颤抖，腰部疼痛，脸都变色。

巴比伦要因以色列被杀的人而仆倒，正如全地被刺杀的人是因巴比伦仆倒一般。

我们好像阴间，把他们活活吞下，囫囵吞下，如吞下那下到地府的人；

唉！先前人口稠密的城市，现在为何独坐！先前在列国中为大的，现在竟如寡妇！先前在各省中为王后的，现在竟成为服苦役的人！

摩押自幼年以来常享安逸，如沉淀未被搅动的酒，没有从这器皿倒在那器皿，也未曾被掳掠过。因此，它的原味尚存，香气未变。看哪，日子将到，我必差倒酒的到它那里去，将它倒出来；他们要倒空器皿，打碎坛子。这是耶和华说的。

凡遇见他们的，就把他们吞灭。敌人说：“我们不算有罪；因他们得罪了那可作真正居所的耶和华，就是他们祖先所仰望的耶和华。”

鹈鹕、豪猪要得它为业，猫头鹰、乌鸦要住在其间。耶和华必将空虚的准绳、混沌的石垂线，拉在以东之上。

犹大王西底家第九年十月，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒率领全军前来围困耶路撒冷。西底家十一年四月初九日，城被攻破。耶路撒冷被攻下的时候，巴比伦王的众官长，尼甲‧沙利薛、三甲‧尼波、撒西金将军、尼甲‧沙利薛将军，并巴比伦王其余的官长都来坐在中门。犹大王西底家和所有士兵看见他们，就在夜间从靠近王的花园、两城墙中间的门逃跑出城，往亚拉巴逃去。迦勒底的军队追赶他们，在耶利哥的平原追上西底家，将他逮住，带到哈马地的利比拉、巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒那里；尼布甲尼撒就判他的罪。在利比拉，巴比伦王在西底家眼前杀了他的儿女；巴比伦王又杀了犹大所有的贵族，并且挖了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁住他，要带到巴比伦去。迦勒底人用火焚烧王宫和百姓的房屋，又拆毁耶路撒冷的城墙。
