This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says:“ Daughter Babylon is like a threshing floor at the time it is trampled; the time to harvest her will soon come.”

The Lord who rules over all is the God of Israel. He says,“ The city of Babylon is like a threshing floor when cattle are walking on it. The time to destroy it will soon come.”

For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor at the time when it is trodden; yet a little while and the time of her harvest will come.”

撒稗子的仇敵是魔鬼，收割的季節是世代的終結，收割的人是天使。

但事情卻要像這樣成就：當收割的人聚攏禾杆、用手割取穗子，拾穗的人在利乏音谷撿拾穗子時，總會有遺落的殘留下來；當人打橄欖樹時，在樹梢上總會有兩三個果子，在多結果實的樹枝上還會有四五個殘留下來。」這是以色列的神耶和華的宣告。到那日，人必仰望那造他們的主，他們的眼睛必注視以色列的聖者。他們必不仰望自己手所築的祭壇，也不注視自己指頭所造的亞舍拉和香壇。到那日，那些在以色列子孫面前被遺棄的堅固城，必像樹林中和山頂上的被遺棄之所；於是那地就變得荒涼；因為你忘記了那拯救你的神，不記念你避難的磐石。因此，你雖栽上佳美的秧子，種上外族的葡萄枝，又在栽它的日子使它成長，在種它的早晨使它開花，但在疾病和傷痛無可救治的日子裡，收成卻如飛而去。

另一位天使從聖所中出來，大聲對坐在雲上的那一位呼喊：「伸出你的鐮刀去收割吧！因為收割的時候到了，地上的莊稼已經熟了。」於是坐在雲上的那一位向大地揮動他的鐮刀，大地的莊稼就被收割了。又一位天使從天上的聖所中出來，他也拿著一把鋒利的鐮刀。另一位天使從祭壇那裡出來，是有權柄統管火的；他對那位拿著鋒利鐮刀的大聲呼喚說：「伸出你那鋒利的鐮刀，收取地上葡萄樹累累的果子吧！因為葡萄已經熟了。」於是那位天使向大地揮動他的鐮刀，收取了地上的葡萄，丟進神憤怒的大榨酒池裡。榨酒池在城外被踐踏，就有血從榨酒池裡流出來，高到馬的嚼子，遠達三百公里。

讓兩樣一起長吧，直到收割的季節。在收割的時候，我要吩咐收割的人先把稗子拔掉，把它們綁成一捆一捆的好去燒掉，然後把麥子收進我的倉庫裡。』」
