Let not the archer string his bow, nor let him put on his armor. Do not spare her young men; completely destroy her army.

駕馬列騎、戴冑而立、礪戈矛、著戎衣。

耶和華又曰、違逆之邦、當降以罰、滅之務盡、循我所命。

星辰不顯其光、日變晦冥、月隱焜耀、天下億兆、咎戾滋多、主必罰之、高者降之為卑、強者汰其驕心、使民數凋零、少於阿妃之兼金。萬有之主耶和華忿怒殊烈、震動天地、人將逃遁、若被逐之鹿、無牧之羊、咸歸厥所、以避其害、其尚留邑中者、則必被殺、遁逃於外者、必亡於刃、擲嬰孩於石、使彼目擊、室中之貨財見虜、妻孥被玷。主使米太人擊爾、雖饋以金銀、彼不納焉、以弓撻少壯、不恤孩提、不憫孕字。

巴比倫人驕其心志、逆以色列族之聖主耶和華、故召弓人矢人、圍巴比倫、不許逃遁、視其所為而報之。耶和華曰、當是時、壯者偃於逵衢、武士俱亡。

蓋注死者入我牖、侵我殿、在逵衢中、戮孩提、殲壯士、

殺壯士若屠牛、降災之日既至、其禍不遠、我上帝耶和華為殿宇雪忿、人自巴比倫逃於郇邑、備述斯事、咸聞其語。

外亡以刃、內害以驚、丁男與處女、赤子與白首、淪胥以亡。

念茲勿忘、不矜恤人者、則被鞫時、亦必不見矜恤、惟素矜恤人者、喜以待鞫、

大邦之邑、來自北方、列王勃興、至自地極、執弓持戟、殘忍不慈、聲若海濤、乘馬列陳、攻巴比倫人。
