今耶和華震怒、欲滅巴比倫、為其殿宇雪忿、故慫慂米太王、以攻爾邑、爾雖礪鏃執盾、邑垣建旆、戍樓鞏固、命戍稽察、設伏防禦、終歸無益、蓋我耶和華昔言降災巴比倫、今已有應。

以色列族若亡羊、為獅所驅、初為亞述王吞噬、後為巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒折骨。萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華曰、昔我罰亞述王、後必罰巴比倫王、及其土地、亦若是。

邑內喧譁、殿中鼓譟、我耶和華有聲、降災於敵。

大聲呼曰、聖誠之主歟、不問天下億兆、伸我流血之冤、將俟何時乎、

昔巴比倫殺以色列族、後其四境居民見戮於人、亦若是。

我耶和華爾之上帝、恆伸民冤、素我怒爾、若手執爵、酒味殊烈、使爾飲之、以至酩酊、後不復飲爾。惟爾敵人、素使爾曲躬俯伏、俟其踰越而行、若遨遊於通衢、我必使彼飲焉。

選民曰、來自以東破斯喇邑、具大力。衣麗服、染血淋漓、果何人與、主曰、乃我踐言、力拯斯民也。選民曰、爾衣甚赭、若踐酒醡、誠何故哉。主曰、踐酒醡者、無他、我也、我震怒、蹂躪異邦人、血污衣襟。蓋救民之時伊邇、我意必伸其冤。

猶太人殺主耶穌、及諸先知、又窘逐我儕、不悅於上帝、而與眾人敵、我欲訓異邦人使得救、彼阻尼之、如是厥罪貫盈、終必罹罰、

先知聖徒、與天下見殺者之血、於巴比倫見之、

巴比倫之邑民兮、昔爾害予、擲嬰孩於石、今有人待爾若此者、必得純嘏兮。
