人必不從你那裏取石頭為房角石，也不從你那裏取石頭做根基；因為你必永遠荒涼：永恆主發神諭說。

巴比倫必變成亂堆，作為野狗的住處；令人驚駭、令人嗤笑，無人居住。『他們必一同吼叫像少壯獅子，必像小獅子怒吼着。

然而你們的母卻要極慚愧，生你們的必蒙羞辱。看吧，她必列在諸國之末，成為曠野、旱地、草原。因永恆主的震怒，她必無人居住，乃要全然荒涼；凡經過巴比倫的、都必驚駭，也必因她所受的一切擊傷而嗤笑。
