耶和华说：“敌人要攻击巴比伦的居民及其首领和谋士；

刀剑必攻击迦勒底人，攻击巴比伦的居民，攻击它的领袖和智慧人。”这是耶和华的宣告。

『永恆主發神諭說：刀劍哪，攻擊迦勒底人哦！攻擊巴比倫的居民哦！攻擊她的首領和智慧人哦！

耶和華曰、刃臨於迦勒底人、與巴比倫居民、及其牧伯哲士、

“ A sword against the Babylonians!” declares the Lord—“ against those who live in Babylon and against her officials and wise men!

“ A sword is coming against the Babylonians!” announces the Lord.“ It is coming against those who live in Babylon. It is coming against their officials and wise men.

“ A sword against the Chaldeans, declares the Lord, and against the inhabitants of Babylon, and against her officials and her wise men!

“ The sword of destruction will strike the Babylonians,” says the Lord.“ It will strike the people of Babylon— her officials and wise men, too.

A sword is over the Chaldeans— this is the LORD’s declaration— against those who live in Babylon, against her officials, and against her sages.

A sword against the Chaldeans,” declares the Lord,“ And against the inhabitants of Babylon And against her leaders and her wise men!

“ A sword is against the Chaldeans,” says the Lord,“ Against the inhabitants of Babylon, And against her princes and her wise men.

A sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith Jehovah, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men.

A sword is over the Chaldeans— this is the Lord’s declaration— against those who live in Babylon, against her officials, and against her sages.

A sword[ is] upon the Chaldeans, saith the LORD, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise[ men].

“ Destructive forces will come against the Babylonians,” says the LORD.“ They will come against the people who inhabit Babylonia, against her leaders and her men of wisdom.

“ A sword is on the Chaldeans,” says Yahweh,“ and on the inhabitants of Babylon, on her princes, and on her wise men.

耶和华的刀剑哪，你到几时才止息呢？你要入鞘，安靖不动。

刀剑必临到他们的城邑，毁坏门闩，把人吞灭，都因他们随从自己的计谋。

当夜，迦勒底王伯沙撒被杀。

大声吩咐将用法术的和迦勒底人并观兆的领进来，对巴比伦的哲士说，谁能读这文字，把讲解告诉我，他必身穿紫袍，项带金链，在我国中位列第三。于是王的一切哲士都进来，却不能读那文字，也不能把讲解告诉王。

君王，名为万军之耶和华的说：“我必使巴比伦的首领、智慧人、省长、副省长，和勇士都沉醉，使他们睡了长觉，永不醒起。

伯沙撒王为他的一千大臣设摆盛筵，与这一千人对面饮酒。伯沙撒欢饮之间，吩咐人将他父尼布甲尼撒从耶路撒冷殿中所掠的金银器皿拿来，王与大臣、皇后、妃嫔好用这器皿饮酒。

所以他的少年人必仆倒在街上。当那日，一切兵丁必默默无声。这是耶和华说的。”

“我从北方兴起一人；他是求告我名的，从日出之地而来。他必临到掌权的，好像临到灰泥，仿佛窑匠踹泥一样。

万国的王啊，谁不敬畏你？敬畏你本是合宜的；因为在列国的智慧人中，虽有政权的尊荣，也不能比你。

智慧人惭愧，惊惶，被擒拿；他们弃掉耶和华的话，心里还有什么智慧呢？

耶和华的话就临到我说：

因为耶和华在一切有血气的人身上，必以火与刀施行审判；被耶和华所杀的必多。

琐安的首领极其愚昧；法老大有智慧的谋士，所筹划的成为愚谋。你们怎敢对法老说：“我是智慧人的子孙，我是古王的后裔？”你的智慧人在哪里呢？万军之耶和华向埃及所定的旨意，他们可以知道，可以告诉你吧！琐安的首领都变为愚昧；挪弗的首领都受了迷惑。当埃及支派房角石的，使埃及人走错了路。

无用的牧人丢弃羊群有祸了！刀必临到他的膀臂和右眼上。他的膀臂必全然枯干；他的右眼也必昏暗失明。

使说假话的兆头失效，使占卜的癫狂，使智慧人退后，使他的知识变为愚拙；

我又要使刀剑临到你们，报复你们背约的仇；聚集你们在各城内，降瘟疫在你们中间，也必将你们交在仇敌的手中。

你筹划太多，以致疲倦。让那些观天象的，看星宿的，在月朔说预言的，都站起来，救你脱离所要临到你的事。他们要像碎秸被火焚烧，不能救自己脱离火焰之力；这火并非可烤的炭火，也不是可以坐在其前的火。

所以，我在这百姓中要行奇妙的事，就是奇妙又奇妙的事。他们智慧人的智慧必然消灭，聪明人的聪明必然隐藏。”

他们火热的时候，我必为他们设摆酒席，使他们沉醉，好叫他们快乐，睡了长觉，永不醒起。这是耶和华说的。

要杀他的一切牛犊，使他们下去遭遇杀戮。他们有祸了，因为追讨他们的日子已经来到。
