耶和華已經彰顯我們的公義。來吧！我們可以在錫安報告耶和華－我們神的作為。你們要磨尖了箭頭，抓住盾牌。耶和華定意攻擊巴比倫，將她毀滅，所以激動了米底亞君王的心；因這是耶和華報仇，就是為自己的殿報仇。

願他們口中稱讚神為高，手裏有兩刃的刀，為要報復列邦，刑罰萬民。要用鍊子捆他們的君王，用鐵鐐鎖他們的大臣；要在他們身上施行所記錄的審判。他的聖民都有這榮耀。你們要讚美耶和華！

他強取自己的帳幕，好像是園中的窩棚，毀壞他的聚會之處。耶和華使聖節和安息日在錫安都被忘記，又在怒氣的憤恨中藐視君王和祭司。耶和華丟棄自己的祭壇，憎惡自己的聖所，將宮殿的牆垣交付仇敵。他們在耶和華的殿中喧嚷，像在聖會之日一樣。

於是他們把耶路撒冷神殿庫房中所掠的金器皿拿來，王和大臣、皇后、妃嬪就用這器皿飲酒。他們飲酒，讚美金、銀、銅、鐵、木、石所造的神。當時，忽有人的指頭顯出，在王宮與燈臺相對的粉牆上寫字。王看見寫字的指頭

你們躲避刀劍的要快走，不要站住！要在遠方記念耶和華，心中追想耶路撒冷。我們聽見辱罵就蒙羞，滿面慚愧，因為外邦人進入耶和華殿的聖所。

「我必使耶路撒冷被圍困的時候，向四圍列國的民成為令人昏醉的杯；這默示也論到猶大。那日，我必使耶路撒冷向聚集攻擊他的萬民當作一塊重石頭；凡舉起的必受重傷。
