邑中吹角、民豈不懼乎、邑中遭禍、豈非耶和華所為乎、

礪乃矢、執乃盾、耶和華感瑪代諸王之心、以其定志滅巴比倫、斯乃耶和華復仇、為其殿宇復仇也、樹幟以攻巴比倫城垣、堅戍守、立斥候、設伏防禦、蓋耶和華為巴比倫居民所言者、既定之、亦成之矣、

我激瑪代人攻之、彼不視銀為貴、不以金為悅、其弓擊殺少壯、不恤胎孕、其目不惜孩提、

我自始而示厥終、自昔而言未來之事、謂我所謀者必驗、所悅者必行、召彼鷙鳥、至自東方、成我謀者、來自遠地、我既言之、亦必行之、我既定之、亦必成之、

有能者歟、佩劍於腰、被爾尊榮威嚴兮、

爾為我戰鬥之椎及器械、我必用爾碎諸國、毀列邦、

萬軍之耶和華曰、我將起而攻之、滅絕巴比倫之名、與其遺民、及其子孫、耶和華言之矣、使其地為蝟所據、變為水澤、掃以滅亡之帚、萬軍之耶和華言之矣、○萬軍之耶和華誓曰、我所思者必成、我所謀者必驗、

若見軍旅乘馬耦行、並有驢駝成羣、則諦聽之、其人呼聲若獅、曰、主歟、我旦晝常立於戍樓、永夜見置於巡地、適有軍旅、乘馬耦行而來、語曰、巴比倫傾圮矣、傾圮矣、其神之雕像、悉毀於地矣、
