看哪！我要激起米底亚人来攻击他们。米底亚人不重视银子，也不喜爱金子；他们的弓箭必把少年人射烂，他们不怜悯妇人腹中的胎儿，他们的眼也不顾惜小孩。

我从起初就宣告末后的事，从古时就宣告尚未成就的事。我说：‘我的筹算必成立，我所喜悦的一切，我都必成就。’我要把猛禽从东方召来，把成就我筹算的人从遥远之地召来。我已经说出，就必定使之实现；我计划了，就必定实行。

勇士啊，当把刀剑在腿上束好，带着你的尊荣和威严！

你们全都聚集来听，假神中谁曾宣告过这些事？耶和华所爱的那位，必行耶和华所喜悦的事对付巴比伦——他的膀臂对付迦勒底人。我亲自说了，我也召唤了他；我把他带来，他必在自己的道路上兴盛。

当他一看见骈马的战车、骑驴子的、骑骆驼的，就要特别留心，多多注意。”后来，守望者呼喊：“主啊，我白天一直站在守望楼，每夜立在我的哨所，看哪，驾骈马战车的军兵来了！”有人应声说：“倾倒了！巴比伦倾倒了！巴比伦神明的一切雕像都被打碎在地了！”
