Suddenly my tents are destroyed, and my curtains gone in a moment.How long will I see the standard and hear the sound of the trumpet?
“ The sound of a cry comes from Babylon, and of great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans!For Yahweh lays Babylon waste, and destroys out of her the great voice! Their waves roar like many waters. The noise of their voice is uttered.For the destroyer has come on her, even on Babylon. Her mighty men are taken. Their bows are broken in pieces, for Yahweh is a God of retribution. He will surely repay.
A grievous vision is declared to me. The treacherous man deals treacherously, and the destroyer destroys. Go up, Elam; attack! I have stopped all of Media’s sighing.Therefore my thighs are filled with anguish. Pains have seized me, like the pains of a woman in labor. I am in so much pain that I can’t hear. I so am dismayed that I can’t see.My heart flutters. Horror has frightened me. The twilight that I desired has been turned into trembling for me.
