耶和華又曰、違逆之邦、當降以罰、滅之務盡、循我所命。

耶和華曰、上攻米拉大翁地、及北割居民、殺戮而盡滅之、循我所命而行、

主曰、當往攻背逆之邦、邦或作邑當罰其居民、殺戮毀滅淨盡、遵我所命爾者而行、

“ Attack the land of Merathaim and those who live in Pekod. Pursue, kill and completely destroy them,” declares the Lord.“ Do everything I have commanded you.

“ Enemies of Babylon, attack their land of Merathaim. Make war against those who live in Pekod. Chase them and kill them. Destroy them completely,” announces the Lord.“ Do everything I have commanded you to do.

“ Go up against the land of Merathaim, and against the inhabitants of Pekod. Kill, and devote them to destruction, declares the Lord, and do all that I have commanded you.

“ Go up, my warriors, against the land of Merathaim and against the people of Pekod. Pursue, kill, and completely destroy them, as I have commanded you,” says the Lord.

Attack the land of Merathaim, and those living in Pekod. Put them to the sword; completely destroy them— this is the LORD’s declaration— do everything I have commanded you.

“ Against the land of Merathaim, go up against it, And against the inhabitants of Pekod. Kill and completely destroy them,” declares the Lord,“ And do according to everything that I have commanded you.

迦勒底之巴比倫人、比割人、書亞人、哥亞人、及諸亞述顯爵之宦、有能之輩、岐嶷男子、有名軍長、乘馬而至。

今可攻之、殲滅所有、毋加矜恤、男女、童稚、嬰孩、牛羊駝驢、悉當殺戮。

民自北至、攻巴比倫、人民群畜、刧掠一空、地變荒蕪、無人居處。

大邦之民、必率群眾、來自北方、攻巴比倫、列行伍、取邑垣、若善戰者、矢不虛發、我使之然。

召古列為我牧伯、以成我志。我使彼言耶路撒冷必得建造、又言聖殿、必得肇基。

又告亞庇篩與臣僕曰、我所生之子、尚欲害我命、況此便雅憫人乎。耶和華使詛而我容之。

今我欲雪宿忿、視其所行而加報施、爾曹當鼓譟直前、毀其垣墉、傾其基址、使巴比倫投誠。

掃羅違我、不遵我命、昔立之為王、今則悔焉。撒母耳甚憂、終夜禱耶和華。夙興欲迓掃羅、或告曰、掃羅至加密立柱、轉往吉甲。撒母耳就掃羅、掃羅曰、願耶和華錫嘏於爾、我已遵耶和華命而行。撒母耳曰、羊鳴牛吼、入於我耳、是何故與。掃羅曰、自亞馬力地、牽之而來、其牛羊之嘉者、民惜其牛、欲祭爾之上帝耶和華、其餘盡滅。撒母耳曰、勿語、待我以耶和華前夕諭我者、告爾。曰、願聞其詳。撒母耳曰、昔爾自視甚微、耶和華簡爾為支派之長、以膏沐爾、立為以色列族王。當耶和華遣爾之時、曾告爾曰、亞馬力族俱干罪戾、汝往攻之、必盡殄滅。何不聽耶和華命、乃作惡於其前、見敵所有、而行劫奪。掃羅曰、耶和華遣我、我果聽命、我至亞馬力、虜其王亞甲、盡滅其眾。所應滅之牛羊、民簡其佳者、欲在吉甲祭爾之上帝耶和華。撒母耳曰、耶和華豈以燔祭禮物為喜、不以聽從其命為喜乎。夫聽命較獻祭尤善、遵言較羊脂愈美。橫逆與卜筮之罪無異、抗戾與拜偶之咎相同。不聽耶和華命、故耶和華使爾國祚不永。掃羅曰、我誠有罪、我畏斯民、聽其言詞、故干犯耶和華及爾所命。

選民和會、群聽斯言、異邦之人、孰能預言未來事、惟我耶和華、寵愛古列俾成我志、降災於巴比倫降罰於迦勒底、

我民偽善、我必震怒、使亞述人擊之、攘奪其貨、蹂躪其身、若逵衢之糞壤。

巴西王古列云、天上之上帝耶和華、以天下列國予我、命我在猶大之耶路撒冷建殿、以奉其名、爾乃遴選之民、誰欲建斯殿、則可往、望其上帝耶和華祐焉。

人加害於摩押、耶和華使之然、若有怠志、刃弗飲血、禍必不遠。

昔耶和華命我曰、當滅斯國、今我來攻、毀此城垣、豈非遵命而行乎。

千夫長、百夫長、及全軍之統轄、既戰而歸、摩西見之怒甚、曰、奚拯眾婦、存其生乎。彼從巴蘭之言、誘以色列族、逆耶和華、服役於比耳、故耶和華降災於會眾。今所得之幼稚中、諸男當殺、與人同寢諸婦亦當殺。未與人同寢之女、俾全其生。
