我岂不因这些事施行惩罚吗？像这样的国家，我岂能不报复呢？这是耶和华说的。

我怎能不惩罚他们呢？我怎能不亲自报应这样的国民呢？这是耶和华说的。

我因这些事怎能不施行惩罚呢？像这样的国家，我怎能不亲自报复呢？”这是耶和华的宣告。

我要使刀剑临到你们，报复你们的背约。你们若被赶入城中，我要降瘟疫在你们中间，把你们交在仇敌手中。

他们献祭物作为给我的供物，却自食其肉，耶和华并不悦纳他们。现在他必记起他们的罪孽，惩罚他们的罪恶；他们必返回埃及。

因此，主—万军之耶和华、以色列的大能者说：“唉！我要向我的对头雪恨，向我的敌人报仇。

我要惩罚她素日给诸巴力烧香的罪；那时她佩戴耳环和珠宝，跟随她所爱的，却忘记我。这是耶和华说的。

“列国啊，当与耶和华的子民一同欢呼；因为他要为他仆人所流的血伸冤，报应他的敌人，救赎他的土地和他的子民。”

锡安哪，你罪孽的惩罚已经结束，耶和华必不再使你被掳去。以东啊，耶和华必惩罚你的罪孽，揭露你的罪恶。

我的眼必不顾惜你，也不可怜你，必按你所做的报应你，照你中间可憎的事惩罚你；你就知道击打你的是我—耶和华。

耶和华因你们所行的恶、所做可憎的事，不能再容忍，所以使你们的地荒凉，受惊骇诅咒，无人居住，正如今日一样。

“我要这样发尽我的怒气；我向他们发的愤怒停止以后，自己就得到平息。当我向他们发尽我的愤怒时，他们就知道我—耶和华所说的是出于妒忌。在四围的列国中，我要使你成为荒凉，在所有过路人的眼前看为羞辱。这样，我必以怒气、愤怒和烈怒的责备，向你施行审判。那时，它就在四围的列国中成为羞辱、讥刺、警戒、惊骇；这是我—耶和华说的。

耶和华是忌邪、报应的神。耶和华施报应，大有愤怒；耶和华向他的敌人报应，向他的仇敌怀怒。
