耶和华说：“我岂不因这些事讨罪呢？岂不报复这样的国民呢？

我岂不因这些事施行惩罚吗？像这样的国家，我岂能不报复呢？这是耶和华说的。

Should I not punish them for this?” declares the Lord.“ Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this?

Shall I not visit for these things? saith Jehovah; and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Should I not punish them for these things? This is the Lord’s declaration. Should I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?

Shall I not visit for these[ things]? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

I will surely punish them for doing such things!” says the LORD.“ I will surely bring retribution on such a nation as this!”

Shouldn’t I punish them for these things?” says Yahweh.“ Shouldn’t my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

Should I not punish them for this?” declares the Lord.“ Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this?” (niv)

Therefore this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says to the shepherds who tend my people:“ Because you have scattered my flock and driven them away and have not bestowed care on them, I will bestow punishment on you for the evil you have done,” declares the Lord. (niv)

It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.” (niv)

And I will bring the sword on you to avenge the breaking of the covenant. When you withdraw into your cities, I will send a plague among you, and you will be given into enemy hands. (niv)

Though they offer sacrifices as gifts to me, and though they eat the meat, the Lord is not pleased with them. Now he will remember their wickedness and punish their sins: They will return to Egypt. (niv)

When the Lord could no longer endure your wicked actions and the detestable things you did, your land became a curse and a desolate waste without inhabitants, as it is today. (niv)

“ Then my anger will cease and my wrath against them will subside, and I will be avenged. And when I have spent my wrath on them, they will know that I the Lord have spoken in my zeal.“ I will make you a ruin and a reproach among the nations around you, in the sight of all who pass by.You will be a reproach and a taunt, a warning and an object of horror to the nations around you when I inflict punishment on you in anger and in wrath and with stinging rebuke. I the Lord have spoken. (niv)

The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; the Lord takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The Lord takes vengeance on his foes and vents his wrath against his enemies. (niv)
