彼逆主屢矣、故必死於林中之獅、斃於夤夜之狼、豹守其邑、伏視眈眈、凡出邑者、必被斷傷。

Therefore a lion from the forest will attack them, a wolf from the desert will ravage them, a leopard will lie in wait near their towns to tear to pieces any who venture out, for their rebellion is great and their backslidings many.

Therefore a lion from the forest shall slay them, A wolf of the deserts shall destroy them; A leopard will watch over their cities. Everyone who goes out from there shall be torn in pieces, Because their transgressions are many; Their backslidings have increased.

Wherefore a lion out of the forest shall slay them, a wolf of the evenings shall destroy them, a leopard shall watch against their cities; every one that goeth out thence shall be torn in pieces; because their transgressions are many, and their backslidings are increased.

So like a lion from the thicket their enemies will kill them. Like a wolf from the desert they will destroy them. Like a leopard they will lie in wait outside their cities and totally destroy anyone who ventures out. For they have rebelled so much and done so many unfaithful things.

Therefore a lion out of the forest will kill them. A wolf of the evenings will destroy them. A leopard will watch against their cities. Everyone who goes out there will be torn in pieces, because their transgressions are many and their backsliding has increased.

其中侯伯若咆哮之獅、其士師如夜出之狼、盡噬所攫、毫不存至明日、盡噬所攫毫不存至明日或作盡噬所得至於明日無餘骨可囓

猛獅出林、殘賊列國者啟行、已出其所、必使爾地荒蕪、使城邑傾圮、無人居處、

爾自取斯害、因主爾之天主、導爾於途時、爾乃棄之、

誰為智者、能明此事、誰蒙主諭、能宣示國緣何而滅亡、地緣何而焚燬、成如沙漠、無人來往、主曰、此因彼棄我所賜之法、不聽我命、不願遵行、放縱私欲、傚法其祖、崇拜巴力、

今爾曹一類作孽者興、繼爾先人犯罪、使主怒以色列人更甚、

兇暴之國向斯民諠譁、若猛獅之咆哮、使其地荒蕪、其邑焚燬、無人居之、

我所見之獸、形似豹、足如熊、口如獅、龍以己之能與位及大權賜之、

爾以此諸言告民、彼如問爾曰、主言必降此大災於我何故、我有何愆尤、干犯何罪於主我之天主前、爾則告之曰、主云、因爾列祖違棄我、從他神、奉事崇拜、棄我不守我法、爾行惡較祖尤甚、各縱惡慾、剛愎自用、不願聽我、

敵必忽來、如獅自約但河濱之叢林而上、攻擊鞏固之所、轉瞬之間、我將以東人逐於其地、誰蒙簡選、則我命之以轄斯地、孰能與我比擬、孰能與我爭辯、有何牧人、能立於我前、

昔愛爾者、俱已忘爾、無人詢問爾、爾之愆尤甚多、爾之罪惡加增、故我以敵之擊擊爾、責爾惟嚴、

祭司以斯拉立而告眾曰、爾干犯罪愆、爾娶異族之女為妻、加增以色列人之愆尤、

爾曹欲主之日速至、則為有禍、主之日幽暗無光、何欲其至哉、譬諸人避獅而遇熊、入室手倚墻壁、為蛇所噬、

主使昏暗則為夜、林中諸獸、即皆出游、

主心所擬之事、未成未立、則其烈怒不息、末日爾曹必明悟、

我必向以法蓮如壯獅、向猶大族如猛獅、攫物而去、拽取所得、無人能救、

更增其淫、追憶其幼年在伊及行淫之日、

主歟、我雖屢違背、獲罪於主、我之愆尤、彷彿控我、仍求主為主之名赦宥我、

郇之敵人得勢為首、郇之仇人盡享平康、郇民罪愆甚多、主降罰嚴嚴、主降罰嚴嚴或作主使之備嘗艱苦其赤子為敵所擄、

爾之惡行、使爾受刑、爾之違逆、使爾受譴、爾可知可見爾棄主爾之天主、不敬畏我、必至遭難受苦、此乃主萬有之天主所言、

其一若獅、有翼若鷹、我正觀時、其翼見拔、獸得起於地、以足豎立若人、亦得人心、

在各路頭路頭或作市口下同建爾高臺、玷辱爾美、招諸經過之人、與其行淫、多淫如此、

敵如猛獅、出自洞穴、殘忍暴虐、忿怒甚烈、使其土地荒蕪矣、
