LORD, I know you look for faithfulness. But even when you punish these people, they feel no remorse. Even when you nearly destroy them, they refuse to be corrected. They have become as hardheaded as a rock. They refuse to change their ways.

这叛逆、污秽、充满压迫的城有祸了！她不听命令，不受管教；不倚靠耶和华，不亲近她的上帝。

耶和华在祂的圣殿里，坐在天上的宝座上，放眼巡视，察看世人。耶和华察验义人和恶人，祂憎恨邪恶和残暴之徒。祂要把烈焰熊熊的火炭和硫磺降在恶人身上，用炙热的风惩罚他们。因为耶和华是公义的，祂喜爱公义。正直的人必见祂的面。

他们却不理会，背过身去，充耳不闻，心如铁石，不遵从律法，也不遵从万军之耶和华借着祂的灵指示从前的先知所说的话。因此，万军之耶和华非常愤怒。

还是你藐视祂深厚的慈爱、宽容和忍耐，不知道祂的慈爱是要引导你悔改吗？你这样硬着心不肯悔改等于是为自己积蓄烈怒，上帝的烈怒在祂施行公义审判的那天必临到你。

恶人虚张声势，正直人谨慎行事。

但你们掩耳不听，顽固不化，比你们的祖先更邪恶。

我知道你顽梗，有铁一般的颈项，铜一般的额头。

就算把愚人放在臼里与麦子一起捣碎，他仍然难脱愚昧。

“以色列的上帝——万军之耶和华说，‘看啊，我要把我说过的灾祸降在这城及其周围的村庄，因为他们顽固不化，不肯听我的话。’”

亚哈斯在患难时越发悖逆耶和华，

你们为什么一再叛逆？你们还要受责打吗？你们已经头破血流，身心疲惫。你们已经体无完肤，从头到脚伤痕累累，伤口没有清洗，没有包扎，也没有敷药。

再者，我们的生身父亲管教我们，我们尚且敬重他们，何况是万灵之父上帝管教我们，我们岂不更要顺服祂并得到生命吗？

我们都知道，上帝必按真理审判做这些事的人。

你会说：“人打我，我不痛；人揍我，我不知。什么时候醒了，再干一杯！”

耶路撒冷啊，淫荡使你污秽不堪，我要洁净你，你却不愿被洁净。所以，除非我向你倾尽一切愤怒，否则你的污秽将不能清除。

所以，祂把烈怒和战火倾倒在他们身上。他们被火包围，却不明白；被烈火焚身，却不在乎。

耶和华的眼目护卫真理，祂必推翻奸徒的言论。

你的计划充满智慧，你的作为奇妙无比，你鉴察世人，按照各人的行为施行赏罚。

你所喜爱的是内心的诚实，求你使我内心有智慧。
