你不僅追隨她們可憎的行徑，還很快超過了她們。我憑我的永恆起誓，與你妹妹所多瑪和她女兒們相比，你和你女兒們的行徑有過之而無不及。這是主耶和華說的。看啊，你妹妹所多瑪和她的女兒們傲慢狂妄，安逸飽足，對窮困的人漠不關心。她們心驕氣傲，在我面前做可憎的事，我看見後便除掉了她們。撒瑪利亞的罪還不及你的一半，你做的事比她們做的更可憎，以致與你相比，你的姊妹倒顯得公義了。既然你幫了你的姊妹，使她們顯得公義，你就蒙受羞辱吧！因為你犯的罪比你姊妹犯的罪更可憎，以致她們顯得比你更公義。因此，你就自取其辱，抱愧蒙羞吧！

說：「你們不秉公行義，偏袒惡人要到何時呢？（細拉）你們要為窮人和孤兒主持公道，為貧寒和受壓迫的人伸張正義。要救助窮苦的人，使他們脫離惡人的欺壓。

我聽說在你們當中竟有人與繼母亂倫。這種淫亂的事，就是連異教徒都做不出來。

他們執迷不悟，但我喜愛你的律法。

有人至死仍充滿活力，盡享平靖安逸。他營養充足，骨骼健壯。

「你們真善於求愛啊！甚至把技巧教給妓女。

他滿臉肥肉，腰間堆滿脂肪。他住的城邑必傾覆，他的房屋必成為一堆瓦礫，無人居住。

因為我拯救求助的窮人，解救無人援助的孤兒。臨終的人為我祝福，我使寡婦心裡歡唱。我以公義為衣穿在身上，公正是我的外袍和帽子。

難道你大肆使用香柏木就能顯出你做王的氣派嗎？你父親也吃也喝，但他秉公行義，所以他凡事順利；他為困苦和貧窮的人伸冤，所以他凡事順利。這才是真正認識我。這是耶和華說的。可是，你一心貪圖不義之財，濫殺無辜，橫徵暴斂。」因此，論到猶大王約西亞的兒子約雅敬，耶和華說：「沒有人會為他哀悼說，『唉，我的弟兄啊！唉，我的姊妹啊！』沒有人會為他哀悼說，『唉，主人啊！唉，他的尊榮！』你必像死驢一樣被拖到耶路撒冷的城門外，曝屍荒野。」
