籠充以禽鳥、其室亦充以詭詐、因而昌盛富有、

籠之有鳥、以誘飛禽、斯民中藏偽詐、以致巨富、亦若是。

其室中充以詐得之財、若籠之充以鳥、因而強盛富有、

Like cages full of birds, their houses are full of deceit; they have become rich and powerful

A hunter uses tricks to fill his cage with birds. And my people have filled their houses with a lot of goods. They have become rich and powerful.

Like a cage full of birds, their houses are full of deceit; therefore they have become great and rich;

Like a cage filled with birds, their homes are filled with evil plots. And now they are great and rich.

惡人家中不仍有非義之財和可惡的小升斗嗎？我若用不公道的天平和囊中詭詐的法碼，豈可算為清潔呢？

你的住處在詭詐的人中；他們因行詭詐，不肯認識我。這是耶和華說的。

為本家積蓄不義之財、在高處搭窩、指望免災的有禍了！你圖謀剪除多國的民，犯了罪，使你的家蒙羞，自害己命。牆裏的石頭必呼叫；房內的棟樑必應聲。

他們若說：你與我們同去，我們要埋伏流人之血，要蹲伏害無罪之人；我們好像陰間，把他們活活吞下；他們如同下坑的人，被我們囫圇吞了；我們必得各樣寶物，將所擄來的，裝滿房屋；

他大聲喊着說：巴比倫大城傾倒了！傾倒了！成了鬼魔的住處和各樣污穢之靈的巢穴，並各樣污穢可憎之雀鳥的巢穴。

以法蓮是商人，手裏有詭詐的天平，愛行欺騙。以法蓮說：我果然成了富足，得了財寶；我所勞碌得來的，人必不見有甚麼不義，可算為罪的。

你們這些要吞吃窮乏人、使困苦人衰敗的，當聽我的話！你們說：月朔幾時過去，我們好賣糧；安息日幾時過去，我們好擺開麥子；賣出用小升斗，收銀用大戥子，用詭詐的天平欺哄人，好用銀子買貧寒人，用一雙鞋換窮乏人，將壞了的麥子賣給人。

瑪律的居民心甚憂急，切望得好處，因為災禍從耶和華那裏臨到耶路撒冷的城門。
