籠之有鳥、以誘飛禽、斯民中藏偽詐、以致巨富、亦若是。

其室中充以詐得之財、若籠之充以鳥、因而強盛富有、

Like cages full of birds, their houses are full of deceit; they have become rich and powerful

A hunter uses tricks to fill his cage with birds. And my people have filled their houses with a lot of goods. They have become rich and powerful.

Like a cage full of birds, their houses are full of deceit; therefore they have become great and rich;

Like a cage filled with birds, their homes are filled with evil plots. And now they are great and rich.

恶人家中不仍有非义之财和可恶的小升斗吗？我若用不公道的天平和囊中诡诈的法码，岂可算为清洁呢？

为本家积蓄不义之财、在高处搭窝、指望免灾的有祸了！你图谋剪除多国的民，犯了罪，使你的家蒙羞，自害己命。墙里的石头必呼叫；房内的栋梁必应声。

他们若说：“你与我们同去，我们要埋伏流人之血，要蹲伏害无罪之人；我们好像阴间，把他们活活吞下；他们如同下坑的人，被我们囫囵吞了；我们必得各样宝物，将所掳来的，装满房屋；

他大声喊着说：“巴比伦大城倾倒了！倾倒了！成了鬼魔的住处和各样污秽之灵的巢穴，并各样污秽可憎之雀鸟的巢穴。

“以法莲是商人，手里有诡诈的天平，爱行欺骗。以法莲说：‘我果然成了富足，得了财宝；我所劳碌得来的，人必不见有什么不义，可算为罪的。’

你们这些要吞吃穷乏人、使困苦人衰败的，当听我的话！你们说：“月朔几时过去，我们好卖粮；安息日几时过去，我们好摆开麦子；卖出用小升斗，收银用大戥子，用诡诈的天平欺哄人，好用银子买贫寒人，用一双鞋换穷乏人，将坏了的麦子卖给人。”

玛律的居民心甚忧急，切望得好处，因为灾祸从耶和华那里临到耶路撒冷的城门。
