“愚昧無知的民哪！你們有眼不能看，有耳不能聽；你們應當聽這話：

“愚昧无知的百姓啊，你们有眼不看，有耳不听，现在当听这话。

“愚昧无知的百姓啊，你们有眼不看，有耳不听，现在当听这话。

“愚昧无知的百姓啊，你们有眼不看，有耳不听，现在当听这话。

‘听着，你们这群愚昧无知的人啊，你们视而不见，听而不闻。

“愚昧无知的民哪！你们有眼不能看，有耳不能听；你们应当听这话：

愚昧無知的百姓啊，你們有眼不看，有耳不聽，現在當聽這話。

「愚昧無知的百姓啊，你們有眼不看，有耳不聽，現在當聽這話。

「愚昧無知的百姓啊，你們有眼不看，有耳不聽，現在當聽這話。

『聽著，你們這群愚昧無知的人啊，你們視而不見，聽而不聞。

『愚昧而無心思的人民哪，有眼不能看、有耳不能聽的啊，你們要聽這話。

愚昧無知之民歟、有目而不見、有耳而不聞、爾其聽此、

曰不智之徒、無慧者流、有目而不見、有耳而不聞、宜聽斯言。

爾此愚昧無知之民、有目而不見、有耳而不聞、宜聽斯言、

Hear this, you foolish and senseless people, who have eyes but do not see, who have ears but do not hear:

‘ Listen to this, you foolish people, who do not have any sense. You have eyes, but you do not see. You have ears, but you do not hear.

“ Hear this, O foolish and senseless people, who have eyes, but see not, who have ears, but hear not.

Listen, you foolish and senseless people, with eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear.

Hear this, you foolish and senseless people. They have eyes, but they don’t see. They have ears, but they don’t hear.

‘ Now hear this, you foolish and senseless people, Who have eyes but do not see, Who have ears but do not hear.

‘ Hear this now, O foolish people, Without understanding, Who have eyes and see not, And who have ears and hear not:

Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; that have eyes, and see not; that have ears, and hear not:

Hear this, you foolish and senseless people. They have eyes, but they don’t see. They have ears, but they don’t hear.

Tell them:‘ Hear this, you foolish people who have no understanding, who have eyes but do not discern, who have ears but do not perceive:

‘ Hear this now, foolish people without understanding, who have eyes, and don’t see, who have ears, and don’t hear:

“人子啊！你是住在叛逆的民族之中；他們有眼睛可以看，卻看不見；他們有耳朵可以聽，卻聽不見，因為他們是叛逆的民族。

他說：‘你去告訴這人民：你們聽是聽見了，總是不明白；看是看見了，總是不領悟。

他說：“你去告訴這子民，說：‘你們聽了又聽，卻不明白；看了又看，卻不曉得。’你要使這子民的心思遲鈍（“遲鈍”直譯是“蒙脂油”），耳朵不靈，眼睛昏暗，免得他們眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，得到醫治。”

“神使他們瞎了眼，硬了心，免得他們眼睛看見，心裡明白而回轉過來；我就醫好他們。”

正如經上所記：“神給了他們麻木的靈，有眼睛卻看不見，有耳朵卻聽不到，直到今日。”

連空中的鸛鳥也知道自己來去的季候；斑鳩、燕子和白鶴也謹守遷移的時令；我的子民卻不曉得耶和華的法則。

“我的子民愚妄，他們連我都不認識，是無知的兒女，沒有悟性；他們有智慧行惡，卻沒有知識行善。”

因此，我用比喻對他們講話，因為他們看卻看不見，聽也聽不到，也不明白。以賽亞的預言，正應驗在他們身上，他說：‘你們聽是聽見了，總是不明白；看是看見了，總是不領悟。因為這人民的心思遲鈍，用不靈的耳朵去聽，又閉上了眼睛；免得自己眼睛看見，耳朵聽見，心裡明白，回轉過來，我就醫好他們。’

我說：“這些人只是貧窮小民，為人愚昧；他們不曉得耶和華的道路，也不明白他們神的法則。

你們有眼不能看，有耳不能聽嗎？你們不記得嗎？

他們並不知道，也不明白；因為耶和華閉住他們的眼睛，使他們不能看見，塞住他們的心，使他們不能明白。

民間的愚昧人哪！你們要留心；愚頑人哪！你們要到幾時才能明白呢？

愚昧無知的人民哪，你們這樣報答耶和華嗎？他不是你的父，不是把你買回來的嗎？他造了你，建立了你。

但是直到今日，耶和華還沒有給你們一顆能明白的心，能看見的眼睛，能聽見的耳朵。

愚昧人既是無知，為甚麼手裡拿著價銀要買智慧呢？

枝條枯乾了，就必被折斷；婦女必來，拿去生火，因為這人民愚昧無知，所以他們的創造主不憐憫他們，那造成他們的，不向他們施恩。

他們全是頑梗愚昧，他們所領受的教導是來自那些虛無、木做的偶像。

以法蓮好像一隻愚蠢無知的鴿子。他們向埃及求助，投奔亞述。
