耶利米啊，如果有人问，‘为什么我们的上帝耶和华这样待我们？’你可以对他们说，‘你们怎样背弃耶和华，在自己的土地上供奉外族的神明，也要怎样在异地他乡服侍外族人。’

百姓若说：‘耶和华我们的神为什么向我们行这一切事呢？’你就对他们说：‘你们怎样离弃耶和华，在你们的地上侍奉外邦神，也必照样在不属你们的地上侍奉外邦人。’”

百姓若说：‘耶和华—我们的上帝为什么向我们行这一切事呢？’你就对他们说：‘你们怎样离弃我，在你们的地上事奉外邦神明，也必照样在不属你们的地上事奉外族人。’”

百姓若说：‘耶和华—我们的神为什么向我们行这一切事呢？’你就对他们说：‘你们怎样离弃我，在你们的地上事奉外邦神明，也必照样在不属你们的地上事奉外族人。’”

“将来如果有人问：‘耶和华我们的神，为什么向我们行这一切事呢？’你就要对他们说：‘你们怎样离弃我，在你们的土地上事奉外族人的神，你们也要在不属你们的土地上照样服事外族人。’”

百姓若說：『耶和華－我們的神為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？』你就對他們說：『你們怎樣離棄耶和華，在你們的地上事奉外邦神，也必照樣在不屬你們的地上事奉外邦人。』」

百姓若說：『耶和華－我們的上帝為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？』你就對他們說：『你們怎樣離棄我，在你們的地上事奉外邦神明，也必照樣在不屬你們的地上事奉外族人。』」

百姓若說：『耶和華－我們的神為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？』你就對他們說：『你們怎樣離棄我，在你們的地上事奉外邦神明，也必照樣在不屬你們的地上事奉外族人。』」

將來人民若問說：「永恆主我們的上帝為甚麼向我們行這一切事呢？」你就要對他們說：「你們怎樣離棄了我，在你們的地上事奉外人的神，你們也必怎樣在不屬於你們的地上服事外族人。」』

爾曹若云、我上帝耶和華何為以此加我、爾當語之曰、爾曹棄我、奉事他神於爾境、如是、亦必奉事外人於非爾之地、○

如有詰先知者、謂我之上帝耶和華降災於我曷故。先知必曰、爾棄耶和華、在爾故土、崇事非爾之上帝、故必在非爾之地、從事異邦人。

民若曰、主我之天主、降此諸災於我何故、爾耶利米則謂之曰、主曰、爾既棄我、於爾地事異邦之神、故必在非爾之地、事異邦之人、

And when the people ask,‘ Why has the Lord our God done all this to us?’ you will tell them,‘ As you have forsaken me and served foreign gods in your own land, so now you will serve foreigners in a land not your own.’

“‘ Jeremiah,’ the people will ask,‘ Why has the Lord our God done all this to us?’ Then you will tell them,‘ You have deserted the Lord. You have served other gods in your own land. So now you will serve another nation in a land that is not your own.’

And when your people say,‘ Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us?’ you shall say to them,‘ As you have forsaken me and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve foreigners in a land that is not yours.’”

“ And when your people ask,‘ Why did the Lord our God do all this to us?’ you must reply,‘ You rejected him and gave yourselves to foreign gods in your own land. Now you will serve foreigners in a land that is not your own.’

When people ask,‘ For what offense has the LORD our God done all these things to us?’ You will respond to them,‘ Just as you abandoned me and served foreign gods in your land, so will you serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’

And it shall come about when they say,‘ Why has the Lord our God done all these things to us?’ then you shall say to them,‘ Just as you have abandoned Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you will serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’

And it will be when you say,‘ Why does the Lord our God do all these things to us?’ then you shall answer them,‘ Just as you have forsaken Me and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve aliens in a land that is not yours.’

And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore hath Jehovah our God done all these things unto us? then shalt thou say unto them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served foreign gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours.

When people ask,‘ For what offense has the Lord our God done all these things to us?’ You will respond to them: Just as you abandoned Me and served foreign gods in your land, so will you serve strangers in a land that is not yours.

And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these[ things] unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land[ that is] not yours.

“ So then, Jeremiah, when your people ask,‘ Why has the LORD our God done all this to us?’ tell them,‘ It is because you rejected me and served foreign gods in your own land. So you must serve foreigners in a land that does not belong to you.’

It will happen, when you say,‘ Why has Yahweh our God done all these things to us?’ Then you shall say to them,‘ Just as you have forsaken me, and served foreign gods in your land, so you will serve strangers in a land that is not yours.’

这殿虽然宏伟，但将来经过的人必惊讶，讥笑说，‘耶和华为什么这样对待这地方和这殿呢？’人们会回答，‘因为他们背弃曾领他们祖先离开埃及的耶和华——他们的上帝，去追随、祭拜、供奉别的神明，所以耶和华把这一切灾祸降在他们身上。’”

也许你在想：“为什么这些事发生在我身上？”你的裙子被撕破，你遭受蹂躏，是因为你罪大恶极。

“各国的人经过这城时都会彼此议论说，‘为什么耶和华这样对待这座大城？’有人会回答，‘因为城里的人背弃了他们的上帝耶和华的约，供奉、祭拜其他神明。’”

如果你们在富足时不心甘情愿地事奉你们的上帝耶和华，你们必失去所有，饥饿干渴、赤身裸体地侍奉耶和华派来攻击你们的敌人。祂要把铁轭加在你们的颈上，直到消灭你们。

万国必问，‘耶和华为什么要这样对待这地方？祂为什么大发烈怒？’必有人回答说，‘因为这地方的人背弃了他们祖先的上帝耶和华领他们出埃及时与他们所立的约，去供奉、祭拜他们所不认识、并非耶和华所分派的神明。因此，耶和华向这片土地发怒，把这书上的一切咒诅都降在这里。耶和华盛怒之下把他们从这地方连根拔起，扔到别的地方，正如今日的情形。’

所以，我要把你们从这里驱逐到你们和你们祖先都不认识的地方，你们在那里要日夜供奉别的神明，因为我不再恩待你们。’”

“当你把这些话告诉他们的时候，他们会质问你，‘耶和华为什么给我们降这大灾难？我们有什么罪？我们哪里得罪了我们的上帝耶和华？’你要对他们说，‘耶和华说，你们的祖先背弃我，去跟随、供奉、祭拜别的神明；他们背弃我，不遵守我的律法。

这殿虽然宏伟，但将来经过的人必惊讶地问，‘耶和华为什么这样对待这地方和这殿呢？’人们会回答，‘因为他们背弃曾领他们祖先离开埃及的耶和华——他们的上帝，去追随、祭拜、供奉别的神明，所以耶和华把这一切灾祸降在他们身上。’”

“将来，即使你们在那里安顿已久、子孙满堂，也不可堕落、制造任何形状的神像，不可做你们的上帝耶和华视为邪恶的事，惹祂发怒。否则，今天我叫天地作证，你们必很快从约旦河对面将要占领的土地上灭亡，你们必被彻底消灭，不得在那里长久居住。耶和华必把你们驱散到列邦，使你们在列邦中的人数所剩无几。你们必在那里供奉人用木石造的不会看、不会听、不会吃、不会闻的神像。

你们还说，‘我们是无辜的，耶和华不再向我们发怒。’看啊，我必审判你们，因为你们拒不认罪。

奴仆做了我们的主人，无人从他们手中解救我们。

因为我的子民犯了两项罪，他们离弃了我这活水源泉，为自己挖了不能蓄水的破池子。
