People of Israel,” declares the Lord,“ I am bringing a distant nation against you— an ancient and enduring nation, a people whose language you do not know, whose speech you do not understand.

“ People of Israel, listen to me,” announces the Lord.“ I am bringing against you a nation from far away. It is an old nation. And it will last for a long time. Its people speak a language you do not know. You can’t understand what they are saying.

Behold, I am bringing against you a nation from afar, O house of Israel, declares the Lord. It is an enduring nation; it is an ancient nation, a nation whose language you do not know, nor can you understand what they say.

The LORD says,“ Listen, nation of Israel! I am about to bring a nation from far away to attack you. It will be a nation that was founded long ago and has lasted for a long time. It will be a nation whose language you will not know. Its people will speak words that you will not be able to understand.

「耶和華要從遠方、地極帶一國的民，如鷹飛來攻擊你。這民的言語，你不懂得。

你們當傳給列國，報告攻擊耶路撒冷的事說：有探望的人從遠方來到，向猶大的城邑大聲吶喊。

先知說：不然，主要藉異邦人的嘴唇和外邦人的舌頭對這百姓說話。

他必豎立大旗，招遠方的國民，發嘶聲叫他們從地極而來；看哪，他們必急速奔來。

耶和華說：「看哪，我要召北方列國的眾族；他們要來，各安座位在耶路撒冷的城門口，周圍攻擊城牆，又要攻擊猶大的一切城邑。

你必不見那強暴的民，就是說話深奧，你不能明白，言語呢喃，你不能懂得的。

我必召北方的眾族和我僕人巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒來攻擊這地和這地的居民，並四圍一切的國民。我要將他們盡行滅絕，以致他們令人驚駭、嗤笑，並且永久荒涼。這是耶和華說的。

王啊，你是諸王之王。天上的神已將國度、權柄、能力、尊榮都賜給你。凡世人所住之地的走獸，並天空的飛鳥，他都交付你手，使你掌管這一切。你就是那金頭。

就是埃及、猶大、以東、亞捫人、摩押人，和一切住在曠野剃周圍頭髮的；因為列國人都沒有受割禮，以色列人心中也沒有受割禮。」

賊被捉拿，怎樣羞愧，以色列家和他們的君王、首領、祭司、先知也都照樣羞愧。

耶和華說：你們要向列國中觀看，大大驚奇；因為在你們的時候，我行一件事，雖有人告訴你們，你們總是不信。我必興起迦勒底人，就是那殘忍暴躁之民，通行遍地，佔據那不屬自己的住處。他威武可畏，判斷和勢力都任意發出。他的馬比豹更快，比晚上的豺狼更猛。馬兵踴躍爭先，都從遠方而來；他們飛跑如鷹抓食，都為行強暴而來，定住臉面向前，將擄掠的人聚集，多如塵沙。他們譏誚君王，笑話首領，嗤笑一切保障，築壘攻取。

萬軍之耶和華的葡萄園就是以色列家；他所喜愛的樹就是猶大人。他指望的是公平，誰知倒有暴虐；指望的是公義，誰知倒有冤聲。

原來以色列家和猶大家大行詭詐攻擊我。這是耶和華說的。

萬軍之耶和華必用雷轟、地震、大聲、旋風、暴風，並吞滅的火焰，向她討罪。

律法上記着：主說：我要用外邦人的舌頭和外邦人的嘴唇向這百姓說話；雖然如此，他們還是不聽從我。

其後我在夜間的異象中觀看，見第四獸甚是可怕，極其強壯，大有力量，有大鐵牙，吞吃嚼碎，所剩下的用腳踐踏。這獸與前三獸大不相同，頭有十角。

耶和華如此說：看哪，有一種民從北方而來，並有一大國被激動，從地極來到。

我必四圍安營攻擊你，屯兵圍困你，築壘攻擊你。

你們要將所犯的一切罪過盡行拋棄，自做一個新心和新靈。以色列家啊，你們何必死亡呢？

不要自己心裏說：『有亞伯拉罕為我們的祖宗。』我告訴你們，神能從這些石頭中給亞伯拉罕興起子孫來。現在斧子已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹就砍下來，丟在火裏。
