People of Israel,” declares the Lord,“ I am bringing a distant nation against you— an ancient and enduring nation, a people whose language you do not know, whose speech you do not understand.

“ People of Israel, listen to me,” announces the Lord.“ I am bringing against you a nation from far away. It is an old nation. And it will last for a long time. Its people speak a language you do not know. You can’t understand what they are saying.

“耶和华要从远方、地极带一国的民，如鹰飞来攻击你。这民的言语，你不懂得。

你们当传给列国，报告攻击耶路撒冷的事说：“有探望的人从远方来到，向犹大的城邑大声呐喊。

先知说：“不然，主要藉异邦人的嘴唇和外邦人的舌头对这百姓说话。”

他必竖立大旗，招远方的国民，发嘶声叫他们从地极而来；看哪，他们必急速奔来。

耶和华说：“看哪，我要召北方列国的众族；他们要来，各安座位在耶路撒冷的城门口，周围攻击城墙，又要攻击犹大的一切城邑。

你必不见那强暴的民，就是说话深奥，你不能明白，言语呢喃，你不能懂得的。

我必召北方的众族和我仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒来攻击这地和这地的居民，并四围一切的国民。我要将他们尽行灭绝，以致他们令人惊骇、嗤笑，并且永久荒凉。这是耶和华说的。

王啊，你是诸王之王。天上的神已将国度、权柄、能力、尊荣都赐给你。凡世人所住之地的走兽，并天空的飞鸟，他都交付你手，使你掌管这一切。你就是那金头。

就是埃及、犹大、以东、亚扪人、摩押人，和一切住在旷野剃周围头发的；因为列国人都没有受割礼，以色列人心中也没有受割礼。”

“贼被捉拿，怎样羞愧，以色列家和他们的君王、首领、祭司、先知也都照样羞愧。

耶和华说：“你们要向列国中观看，大大惊奇；因为在你们的时候，我行一件事，虽有人告诉你们，你们总是不信。我必兴起迦勒底人，就是那残忍暴躁之民，通行遍地，占据那不属自己的住处。他威武可畏，判断和势力都任意发出。“他的马比豹更快，比晚上的豺狼更猛。马兵踊跃争先，都从远方而来；他们飞跑如鹰抓食，都为行强暴而来，定住脸面向前，将掳掠的人聚集，多如尘沙。他们讥诮君王，笑话首领，嗤笑一切保障，筑垒攻取。

万军之耶和华的葡萄园就是以色列家；他所喜爱的树就是犹大人。他指望的是公平，谁知倒有暴虐；指望的是公义，谁知倒有冤声。

原来以色列家和犹大家大行诡诈攻击我。这是耶和华说的。”

万军之耶和华必用雷轰、地震、大声、旋风、暴风，并吞灭的火焰，向她讨罪。

律法上记着：“主说：‘我要用外邦人的舌头和外邦人的嘴唇向这百姓说话；虽然如此，他们还是不听从我。’”

其后我在夜间的异象中观看，见第四兽甚是可怕，极其强壮，大有力量，有大铁牙，吞吃嚼碎，所剩下的用脚践踏。这兽与前三兽大不相同，头有十角。

耶和华如此说：“看哪，有一种民从北方而来，并有一大国被激动，从地极来到。

我必四围安营攻击你，屯兵围困你，筑垒攻击你。

你们要将所犯的一切罪过尽行抛弃，自做一个新心和新灵。以色列家啊，你们何必死亡呢？

不要自己心里说：‘有亚伯拉罕为我们的祖宗。’我告诉你们，神能从这些石头中给亚伯拉罕兴起子孙来。现在斧子已经放在树根上，凡不结好果子的树就砍下来，丢在火里。
