爾曹遍行耶路撒冷逵衢而細觀、於其街市訪覓、試觀有一人行公義、求誠實否、若有、則我必宥斯邑、

“ Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem, look around and consider, search through her squares. If you can find but one person who deals honestly and seeks the truth, I will forgive this city.

The Lord says,“ Go up and down the streets of Jerusalem. Look around. Think about what you see. Search through the market. See if you can find one honest person who tries to be truthful. If you can, I will forgive this city.

Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, look and take note! Search her squares to see if you can find a man, one who does justice and seeks truth, that I may pardon her.

“ Run up and down every street in Jerusalem,” says the Lord.“ Look high and low; search throughout the city! If you can find even one just and honest person, I will not destroy the city.

Roam through the streets of Jerusalem. Investigate; search in her squares. If you find one person, any who acts justly, who pursues faithfulness, then I will forgive her.

“ Roam about through the streets of Jerusalem, And look and take notice. And seek in her public squares, If you can find a person, If there is one who does justice, who seeks honesty, Then I will forgive her.

Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that doeth justly, that seeketh truth; and I will pardon her.

Roam through the streets of Jerusalem. Look and take note; search in her squares. If you find one person, any who acts justly, who seeks to be faithful, then I will forgive her.

“ Run back and forth through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in its wide places, if you can find a man, if there is anyone who does justly, who seeks truth, then I will pardon her.

For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.”

So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one.

And Abraham came near and said,“ Would You also destroy the righteous with the wicked?Suppose there were fifty righteous within the city; would You also destroy the place and not spare it for the fifty righteous that were in it?Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”So the Lord said,“ If I find in Sodom fifty righteous within the city, then I will spare all the place for their sakes.”Then Abraham answered and said,“ Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord:Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous; would You destroy all of the city for lack of five?” So He said,“ If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it.”And he spoke to Him yet again and said,“ Suppose there should be forty found there?” So He said,“ I will not do it for the sake of forty.”Then he said,“ Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak: Suppose thirty should be found there?” So He said,“ I will not do it if I find thirty there.”And he said,“ Indeed now, I have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose twenty should be found there?” So He said,“ I will not destroy it for the sake of twenty.”Then he said,“ Let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak but once more: Suppose ten should be found there?” And He said,“ I will not destroy it for the sake of ten.”

God looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God.Every one of them has turned aside; They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge, Who eat up my people as they eat bread, And do not call upon God?

Woe is me! For I am like those who gather summer fruits, Like those who glean vintage grapes; There is no cluster to eat Of the first-ripe fruit which my soul desires.The faithful man has perished from the earth, And there is no one upright among men. They all lie in wait for blood; Every man hunts his brother with a net.

“ But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

They have all turned aside, They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one.

Justice is turned back, And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street, And equity cannot enter.So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey. Then the Lord saw it, and it displeased Him That there was no justice.

No one calls for justice, Nor does any plead for truth. They trust in empty words and speak lies; They conceive evil and bring forth iniquity.

Help, Lord, for the godly man ceases! For the faithful disappear from among the sons of men.

who said to him,“ Run, speak to this young man, saying:‘ Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it.

“ I will rise now,” I said,“ And go about the city; In the streets and in the squares I will seek the one I love.” I sought him, but I did not find him.

So he said,“ I have been very zealous for the Lord God of hosts; for the children of Israel have forsaken Your covenant, torn down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword. I alone am left; and they seek to take my life.”

She cries out by the gates, at the entry of the city, At the entrance of the doors:

and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

So that servant came and reported these things to his master. Then the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant,‘ Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring in here the poor and the maimed and the lame and the blind.’

They run to and fro in the city, They run on the wall; They climb into the houses, They enter at the windows like a thief.

If you seek her as silver, And search for her as for hidden treasures;Then you will understand the fear of the Lord, And find the knowledge of God.For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;

They shall wander from sea to sea, And from north to east; They shall run to and fro, seeking the word of the Lord, But shall not find it.

Most men will proclaim each his own goodness, But who can find a faithful man?

Buy the truth, and do not sell it, Also wisdom and instruction and understanding.
