加略被攻取，堡壘也被佔據。到那日，摩押的勇士心中疼痛如臨產的婦人。摩押必被毀滅，不再成國，因它向耶和華誇大。摩押的居民哪，驚嚇、陷阱、羅網都臨近你。這是耶和華說的。躲過驚嚇的必墜入陷阱，逃離陷阱的又被羅網纏住，因我必使懲罰之年臨到摩押。這是耶和華說的。

你們必從城牆的缺口出去，各人直往前行，投向哈門。』」這是耶和華說的。

因耶和華如此說：『看哪，我要使你和你的眾朋友驚嚇；你們要親眼看見他們倒在仇敵的刀下。我必將猶大人全都交在巴比倫王的手中，他要把他們擄到巴比倫去，用刀殺他們。

看哪，我必驚動他的心，他要聽見風聲就歸回本地，在那裏我必使他倒在刀下。』」

因為主使亞蘭人的軍隊聽見戰車戰馬的聲音，大軍的聲音，他們就彼此說：「看哪，這必是以色列王雇用赫人諸王和埃及諸王來攻擊我們。」所以，在黃昏的時候他們起來逃跑，撇下帳棚、馬、驢，把軍營留在原處，只顧逃命。

惡人雖無人追趕也逃跑；義人卻膽壯像獅子。

你兄弟遭難的日子，你不該瞪着眼看；猶大人被滅的日子，你不該幸災樂禍；他們遭難的日子，你不該說狂傲的話。我子民遭災的日子，你不該進他們的城門；他們遭災的日子，你不該瞪着眼看他們受苦；他們遭災的日子，你不該伸手搶他們的財物。他們遭難的日子，你不該站在岔路口剪除他們逃脫的人，你不該交出他們的倖存者。

對他們說：「我知道耶和華已經把這地賜給你們了，並且我們也都懼怕你們。這地所有的居民在你們面前都融化了。

求你賜謀略，行公平，使你的影子在正午如黑夜，掩護逃亡的人，不洩露逃難者的行蹤。

驚嚇的聲音常在他耳中；在平安時，毀滅者必臨到他。
