逃於驚駭者、必陷於坎阱、出於坎阱者、必罹於機檻、蓋我必使懲罰摩押之年臨之、耶和華言之矣、

免於驚駭者、必陷於坎阱、出於坎阱者、必罹於機檻、屆期我必降災於摩押。

逃避驚懼之事者、必陷於坎阱、出自坎阱者、必罹於網羅、我必使摩押受罰之期速臨、此乃主所言、

“ Whoever flees from the terror will fall into a pit, whoever climbs out of the pit will be caught in a snare; for I will bring on Moab the year of her punishment,” declares the Lord.

Anyone who runs away from the terror will fall into the pit. Anyone who climbs out of the pit will be caught in the trap. The time is coming when I will punish Moab,” announces the Lord.

He who flees from the terror shall fall into the pit, and he who climbs out of the pit shall be caught in the snare. For I will bring these things upon Moab, the year of their punishment, declares the Lord.

“ Those who flee in terror will fall into a trap, and those who escape the trap will step into a snare. I will see to it that you do not get away, for the time of your judgment has come,” says the Lord.

He who flees from the panic will fall in the pit, and he who climbs from the pit will be captured in the trap, for I will bring against Moab the year of their punishment. This is the LORD’s declaration.

那日就像一個人避過了獅子，卻遇上了熊；回到家裡，手靠在牆上，卻被蛇咬。

它中間的雇傭兵像棚裡的肥牛犢，他們一同轉身逃跑，沒有一個站立得住；因為他們遭災的日子、受懲罰的時候，已經臨到他們身上。

餘下來的都逃入亞弗城裡，城牆倒塌，壓死了餘下來的二萬七千人。便．哈達也逃到城裡來，躲進一間密室裡。

於是耶和華的使者出去，在亞述營中擊殺了十八萬五千人；到了早晨，有人起來，所見的都是死屍。亞述王西拿基立就拔營離去，返回本地，住在尼尼微。他在自己的神尼斯洛廟裡叩拜的時候，他的兒子亞得米勒和沙利色用刀殺了他，然後逃到亞拉臘地。他的兒子以撒哈頓接續他作王。

懲罰的日子臨近，報應的時候來到，以色列必定知道，因著你們眾多的罪孽和深仇大恨，先知被看為愚昧，受靈感動的人被當作瘋子。

到降罰的日子，有災禍從遠方來到，那時你們要怎樣行呢？你們可以向誰逃奔求助呢？你們可以把你們的財寶撇在哪裡呢？

“看哪！我要差人去叫許多漁夫來，捕捉以色列人；然後我要差人去叫許多獵人來，從各大山、小山和巖石的裂縫裡，獵取他們。”這是耶和華的宣告。

偶像都是虛無的，是荒謬可笑的作品；到了討罪的時候，它們必被除滅。

我見主站在祭壇旁，他說：“擊打聖殿的柱頂，使門檻都震動。砍掉它們，落在眾人的頭上，剩下的人我必用刀殺死；沒有一個能逃走，沒有一人逃脫。如果他們下到陰間，就是在那裡，我的手必把他們揪上來；如果他們升到天上，就是在那裡，我必把他們拉下來；如果他們躲在迦密山頂，就是在那裡，我必搜尋他們，抓他們出來；如果他們要躲避我，藏在海底，就是在那裡，我必命令蛇去咬他們；如果他們被仇敵擄去，就是在那裡，我必命令刀劍殺死他們；我必定睛在他們身上，降禍不降福。”

行動迅速的不能逃走，強而有力的不能施展他的勇力，勇士也不能救自己；拿弓的人站立不住，跑得快的不能逃走，騎馬的也不能救自己。

他們中最好的，也不過像荊棘，最正直的，也不過是有刺的籬笆。你的守望者所預言的日子，和你被鑒察的時候，已經來到；現在他們必要慌亂不安。

偶像都是虛無的，是荒謬可笑的作品；到了討罪的時候，它們必被除滅。

“因此，他們的路必像滑地；他們必被趕逐到黑暗中，必在那裡仆倒。因為到了懲罰他們的年日，我必使災禍臨到他們。”這是耶和華的宣告。

那逃避恐懼聲音的，必墮入陷坑；那從陷坑裡上來的，必被網羅纏住；因為天上的窗都開了，地的根基也震動了。

耶和華說：‘他們行了可憎的事，本應覺得羞愧，可是他們一點羞愧都沒有，恬不知恥。因此他們必仆倒在倒下的人中間；我懲罰他們的時候，他們必倒下來。
