“ We have heard of Moab’s pride— how great is her arrogance!— of her insolence, her pride, her conceit and the haughtiness of her heart.

“ We have heard all about Moab’s pride. We have heard how very proud they are. They think they are so much better than others. Their pride reaches deep down inside their hearts.

We have heard of the pride of Moab— he is very proud— of his loftiness, his pride, and his arrogance, and the haughtiness of his heart.

We have all heard of the pride of Moab, for his pride is very great. We know of his lofty pride, his arrogance, and his haughty heart.

We have heard of Moab’s pride, great pride, indeed— his insolence, arrogance, pride, and haughty heart.

We have heard of the pride of Moab— he is very proud— Of his haughtiness, his pride, his arrogance, and his self exaltation.

“ We have heard the pride of Moab( He is exceedingly proud), Of his loftiness and arrogance and pride, And of the haughtiness of his heart.”

“ We have heard of the pride of Moab. He is very proud in his loftiness, his pride, his arrogance, and the arrogance of his heart.

我們聽說過摩押的驕傲，十分驕傲；也聽說過它的狂妄、驕傲和忿怒，它那浮誇的話都是虛假。

耶和華雖然高高在上，仍然看顧卑微的人；他卻從遠處認出驕傲的人。

到那日，眼目高傲的人必降卑，性情驕傲的人也必俯首，唯獨耶和華被高舉。因為萬軍之耶和華必有一日，要攻擊一切驕傲的、狂妄的，和所有高抬自己的，他們都要降卑。

因為凡高抬自己的，必要降卑；自己謙卑的，必要升高。”

你當以莊嚴與尊貴為裝飾，以尊榮與威嚴為衣服。要倒盡你忿激的怒氣，觀看所有驕傲的人，使他們降卑。觀看所有驕傲的人，把他制伏，把惡人踐踏在他們的地方，

滅亡以先，人心高傲；尊榮以先，必有謙卑。

有一種人眼目多麼高傲，他們的眼睛，長在頂上。

現在我尼布甲尼撒讚美、尊崇、榮耀天上的王，因為他所作的一切都正確，他所行的也都公平；行為驕傲的，他都能貶低。”

但神所賜的恩更大；所以聖經上說：“神對抗驕傲的人，賜恩給謙卑的人。”

敬畏耶和華就是恨惡邪惡；驕傲、狂妄、邪惡的行為、乖謬的口，我都恨惡。

我聽見了摩押人的辱罵之言，聽見了亞捫人的毀謗之語，他們辱罵我的子民，又自誇自大侵犯他們的境界。因此，萬軍之耶和華以色列的神說：“我指著我的永生起誓：摩押人必要像所多瑪，亞捫人必定像蛾摩拉，成為刺草和鹽坑之所，永遠荒涼之地。我餘下的子民必擄掠他們，我國中所餘的要得著他們為業。”由於他們的狂傲，這事就臨到他們；因為他們自誇自大，辱罵萬軍之耶和華的子民。對於他們，耶和華是可畏懼的，因為他要消滅地上一切神祇；那時，列國海島上的居民，都各在自己的地方敬拜他。古實人哪！你們也必被我的刀劍所殺。耶和華必伸手攻擊北方，毀滅亞述，使尼尼微變成荒場，乾旱像曠野。群畜和各類的走獸必躺臥在其中；鵜鶘和箭豬棲宿在柱頂上；窗內有鳴叫的聲音，門檻上必有荒涼；因為香柏木都要暴露出來。這就是那歡樂安居之城，她心裡曾說：“只有我，除我以外，再沒有別的了。”現在怎麼竟成了荒場、走獸躺臥之處呢！凡從那裡經過的，都必舞手嗤笑。
