This is the word which the Lord has spoken concerning Moab since that time.But now the Lord has spoken, saying,“ Within three years, as the years of a hired man, the glory of Moab will be despised with all that great multitude, and the remnant will be very small and feeble.”

Therefore say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord God.’”

Tell them therefore,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ I will lay this proverb to rest, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel.”’ But say to them,‘“ The days are at hand, and the fulfillment of every vision.

Then the Lord said to me,“ You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”

By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber.

Vengeance is Mine, and recompense; Their foot shall slip in due time; For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things to come hasten upon them.’
