That’s the message the Lord has already spoken against Moab.But now he says,“ In exactly three years, people will look down on Moab’s glory. Now Moab has many people. But by that time only a few of them will be left alive. And even they will be weak.”

“ So tell them,‘ The Lord and King says,“ Everything I say will come true. It will happen when I want it to,” announces the Lord and King.’ ”

Tell them,‘ The Lord and King says,“ I am going to put an end to this proverb. They will not use that saying in Israel anymore.” ’ Tell them,‘ The days are coming soon when every vision will come true.

The Lord said to me,“ You have seen correctly. I am watching to see that my word comes true.”

These teachers are never satisfied. They want to get something out of you. So they make up stories to take advantage of you. They have been under a sentence of death for a long time. The God who will destroy them has not been sleeping.

I punish people. I will pay them back. The time will come when their feet will slip. Their day of trouble is near. Very soon they will be destroyed.”
