This is the word which the Lord spoke earlier concerning Moab.But now the Lord has spoken, saying,“ Within three years, as a hired worker would count them, the glory of Moab will become contemptible along with all his great population, and his remnant will be very small and impotent.”

Therefore say to them,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ None of My words will be delayed any longer. Whatever word I speak will be performed,” ’ ” declares the Lord God.

Therefore say to them,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ I will put an end to this proverb so that they will no longer use it as a proverb in Israel.” But tell them,“ The days are approaching as well as the fulfillment of every vision.

Then the Lord said to me,“ You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it.”

and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

Vengeance is Mine, and retribution; In due time their foot will slip. For the day of their disaster is near, And the impending things are hurrying to them.’
