Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will send unto him wanderers, that shall cause him to wander, and shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles.

耶和华说：“日子将到，我必打发倒酒的往他那里去，将他倒出来，倒空他的器皿，打碎他的坛子。

看哪，日子将到，我必差倒酒的到它那里去，将它倒出来；他们要倒空器皿，打碎坛子。这是耶和华说的。

“不过，看啊，时候将到，我要派倒酒的人去把她倒出来，倒空酒缸，把缸打碎。这是耶和华说的。

“看哪！日子快到（这是耶和华的宣告），我必差派倒酒的人到它那里去，把它倒出来，直至倒空，又把酒缸打碎。

『故此你看，日子必到，永恆主發神諭說，我必打發倒酒的往他那裏去，將他倒出；把他的器皿倒到空空，又把他的罈子摔碎。

耶和華曰、時日將至、我必遣司酒者傾之、空其器、毀其缾、

主曰、時日將至、我必遣人來傾之、空其器皿、破其瓶甕、

But days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ when I will send men who pour from pitchers, and they will pour her out; they will empty her pitchers and smash her jars.

But other days are coming,” announces the Lord.“ At that time I will send people who pour wine from pitchers. They will pour Moab out like wine. They will empty its pitchers. They will smash its jars.

“ Therefore, behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I shall send to him pourers who will pour him, and empty his vessels and break his jars in pieces.

But the time is coming soon,” says the Lord,“ when I will send men to pour him from his jar. They will pour him out, then shatter the jar!

Therefore look, the days are coming— this is the LORD’s declaration— when I will send pourers to him, who will pour him out. They will empty his containers and smash his jars.

Therefore behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord,“ when I will send to him those who tip vessels, and they will tip him over, and they will pour out his vessels and smash his jars.

“ Therefore behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord,“ That I shall send him wine-workers Who will tip him over And empty his vessels And break the bottles.

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will send unto him them that pour off, and they shall pour him off; and they shall empty his vessels, and break their bottles in pieces.

Therefore look, the days are coming— this is the Lord’s declaration— when I will send those to him, who will pour him out. They will empty his containers and smash his jars.

But the time is coming when I will send men against Moab who will empty it out. They will empty the towns of their people, then will lay those towns in ruins. I, the LORD, affirm it!

Therefore behold, the days come,” says Yahweh,“ that I will send to him those who pour off, and they will pour him off; and they will empty his vessels, and break their containers in pieces.

Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities[ which are] on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Bethjeshimoth, Baalmeon, and Kiriathaim,Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations.

For the LORD hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches.

Then shalt thou break the bottle in the sight of the men that go with thee,

And the spoiler shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD hath spoken.

Moab hath been at ease from his youth, and he hath settled on his lees, and hath not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither hath he gone into captivity: therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.

For it shall be,[ that], as a wandering bird cast out of the nest,[ so] the daughters of Moab shall be at the fords of Arnon.

And he shall break it as the breaking of the potters’ vessel that is broken in pieces; he shall not spare: so that there shall not be found in the bursting of it a sherd to take fire from the hearth, or to take water[ withal] out of the pit.

And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits,[ and] found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.

Behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith the LORD, and Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and an hissing, and perpetual desolations.

Howl, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow yourselves[ in the ashes], ye principal of the flock: for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are accomplished; and ye shall fall like a pleasant vessel.

[ There shall be] lamentation generally upon all the housetops of Moab, and in the streets thereof: for I have broken Moab like a vessel wherein[ is] no pleasure, saith the LORD.

Moab is spoiled, and gone up[ out of] her cities, and his chosen young men are gone down to the slaughter, saith the King, whose name[ is] the LORD of hosts.

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
