This is what the Lord says:“ See how the waters are rising in the north; they will become an overflowing torrent. They will overflow the land and everything in it, the towns and those who live in them. The people will cry out; all who dwell in the land will wail

This is what the Lord says:“ A flood is coming from the north to overflow the land. It will destroy the land and everything in it— cities and people alike. People will scream in terror, and everyone in the land will wail.

耶和华对我说：“必有灾祸从北方发出，临到这地所有的居民。

愿天欢喜，愿地快乐！愿海和其中所充满的澎湃！

哀声遍传摩押四境，哀号的声音达到以基莲，哀号的声音远及比珥‧以琳。

地和其中所充满的，世界和住在其中的，都属耶和华。

在日落之处，人必敬畏耶和华的名；在日出之地，人必敬畏他的荣耀。他必如湍急的河流冲来，耶和华的灵催逼他自己。

蛇在妇人背后，从口中喷出水来，像河一样，要将妇人冲走。地却帮助了妇人，开口吞了从龙口喷出来的水。

打得粉碎了！他们要哀号了！摩押要羞愧转背了！这样，摩押必受四围的人嗤笑惊骇。

从何罗念有哀号声：“荒凉！大毁灭！”“摩押毁灭了！”它的孩童哀号，使人听见。人上鲁希坡随走随哭，因为在何罗念的下坡听见毁灭的哀声。

愿海和其中所充满的澎湃，愿世界和住在其间的发声。

以下是耶和华对耶利米先知说的话，论到巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒要来攻击埃及地。

注意！你们这些富足人哪，要为将要临到你们身上的灾难哭泣、号啕。

“我若是饥饿，不用告诉你，因为世界和其中所充满的都是我的。
