必付之於索其命者、即巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒及其臣僕之手、厥後伊及之地、仍有人居處、與昔無異、此乃主所言、○

I will give them into the hands of those who want to kill them— Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and his officers. Later, however, Egypt will be inhabited as in times past,” declares the Lord.

我耶和華以埃及王法老哈拉、付於敵手、如前日我以猶大王西底家、付於敵巴比倫王、尼布甲尼撒手。

主耶和華曰、我必使巴比倫王、大興干戈、率列邦所畏之勁旅、以伐埃及滅其威、殺其眾、

故主耶和華曰我必使利刃臨於爾國、人獸俱被殲滅、埃及王自謂鑿斯河、足供己用、故予必使埃及荒蕪、俾知我乃耶和華。我必降災於爾、及爾江河、使埃及國盡成荒墟、自蜜奪至敘以尼古實接攘之區、人跡獸蹄、不經斯土、民不棲止、凡歷四十年。我必使埃及民人、散處於列國、異邦他邑既變邱墟、埃及通國、及其邑郊、靡地不然、歷四十年。主耶和華曰四十年後、埃及之民、我必撫集之、使至自列邦。反其俘囚、歸於八羅、仍旋桑梓、然其國不能昌大。

耶和華又曰、末期之日、我將返摩押俘囚、耶和華以摩押之事告眾、其言若此。

末期既屆、我必返以攔人俘囚、我耶和華已言之矣。
