The Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, says:“ Behold, I will bring punishment on Amon of No, and Pharaoh and Egypt, with their gods and their kings— Pharaoh and those who trust in him.

萬有之主、以色列族之上帝耶和華曰、我必罰埃及之挪亞門、毀其上帝之像、誅王公法老、與凡恃法老之勢者、

萬有之主以色列之天主曰、我必罰挪之亞們亞們即伊及群神之一伊及人尊為大神及法老、罰伊及與其諸神君王、罰法老與凡倚賴法老之人、

The Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says:“ I am about to bring punishment on Amon god of Thebes, on Pharaoh, on Egypt and her gods and her kings, and on those who rely on Pharaoh.

The Lord who rules over all is the God of Israel. He says,“ I am about to punish Amon, the god of Thebes. I will also punish Pharaoh. I will punish Egypt and its gods and kings. And I will punish those who depend on Pharaoh.

The Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, said:“ Behold, I am bringing punishment upon Amon of Thebes, and Pharaoh and Egypt and her gods and her kings, upon Pharaoh and those who trust in him.

The Lord of Heaven’s Armies, the God of Israel, says:“ I will punish Amon, the god of Thebes, and all the other gods of Egypt. I will punish its rulers and Pharaoh, too, and all who trust in him.

The LORD of Armies, the God of Israel, says,“ I am about to punish Amon, god of Thebes, along with Pharaoh, Egypt, her gods, and her kings— Pharaoh and those trusting in him.

The Lord of armies, the God of Israel says:“ Behold, I am going to punish Amon of Thebes, and Pharaoh, and Egypt along with her gods and her kings, indeed, Pharaoh and those who trust in him.

I will kindle a fire in the houses of the gods of Egypt, and he shall burn them and carry them away captive. And he shall array himself with the land of Egypt, as a shepherd puts on his garment, and he shall go out from there in peace.He shall also break the sacred pillars of Beth Shemesh that are in the land of Egypt; and the houses of the gods of the Egyptians he shall burn with fire.”’”

The Lord will be awesome to them, For He will reduce to nothing all the gods of the earth; People shall worship Him, Each one from his place, Indeed all the shores of the nations.

‘ For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.

Then they shall be afraid and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation and Egypt their glory.And the inhabitant of this territory will say in that day,‘ Surely such is our expectation, wherever we flee for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria; and how shall we escape?’”

saying,‘ No, but we will go to the land of Egypt where we shall see no war, nor hear the sound of the trumpet, nor be hungry for bread, and there we will dwell’—Then hear now the word of the Lord, O remnant of Judah! Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel:‘ If you wholly set your faces to enter Egypt, and go to dwell there,then it shall be that the sword which you feared shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt; the famine of which you were afraid shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there you shall die.

Are you better than No Amon That was situated by the River, That had the waters around her, Whose rampart was the sea, Whose wall was the sea?Ethiopia and Egypt were her strength, And it was boundless; Put and Lubim were your helpers.

“ And I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in security in the coastlands. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.So I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not let them profane My holy name anymore. Then the nations shall know that I am the Lord, the Holy One in Israel.

‘ I will also trouble the hearts of many peoples, when I bring your destruction among the nations, into the countries which you have not known.Yes, I will make many peoples astonished at you, and their kings shall be horribly afraid of you when I brandish My sword before them; and they shall tremble every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of your fall.“ For thus says the Lord GOD:‘ The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon you.By the swords of the mighty warriors, all of them the most terrible of the nations, I will cause your multitude to fall.‘ They shall plunder the pomp of Egypt, And all its multitude shall be destroyed.

Who walk to go down to Egypt, And have not asked My advice, To strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, And to trust in the shadow of Egypt!Therefore the strength of Pharaoh Shall be your shame, And trust in the shadow of Egypt Shall be your humiliation.

‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ I will also destroy the idols, And cause the images to cease from Noph; There shall no longer be princes from the land of Egypt; I will put fear in the land of Egypt.I will make Pathros desolate, Set fire to Zoan, And execute judgments in No.I will pour My fury on Sin, the strength of Egypt; I will cut off the multitude of No,And set a fire in Egypt; Sin shall have great pain, No shall be split open, And Noph shall be in distress daily.

The burden against Egypt. Behold, the Lord rides on a swift cloud, And will come into Egypt; The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence, And the heart of Egypt will melt in its midst.

Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, And rely on horses, Who trust in chariots because they are many, And in horsemen because they are very strong, But who do not look to the Holy One of Israel, Nor seek the Lord!Yet He also is wise and will bring disaster, And will not call back His words, But will arise against the house of evildoers, And against the help of those who work iniquity.Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; And their horses are flesh, and not spirit. When the Lord stretches out His hand, Both he who helps will fall, And he who is helped will fall down; They all will perish together.

Thus says the Lord:“ Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord.For he shall be like a shrub in the desert, And shall not see when good comes, But shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, In a salt land which is not inhabited.
