“ As surely as I live,” says the King, whose name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies,“ one is coming against Egypt who is as tall as Mount Tabor, or as Mount Carmel by the sea!

“ As surely as I live,” declares the King, whose name is the Lord Almighty,“ one will come who is like Tabor among the mountains, like Carmel by the sea.

“ I am the King. My name is the Lord Who Rules Over All. Someone will come who is like Mount Tabor among the mountains. He is like Mount Carmel by the Mediterranean Sea. And that is just as sure as I am alive,” announces the King.

“ As I live, declares the King, whose name is the Lord of hosts, like Tabor among the mountains and like Carmel by the sea, shall one come.

As I live— this is the King’s declaration; the LORD of Armies is his name— the king of Babylon will come like Tabor among the mountains and like Carmel by the sea.

As I live,” declares the King, Whose name is the Lord of armies,“ One certainly shall come who is like Tabor among the mountains, Or like Carmel by the sea.

“ As I live,” says the King, Whose name is the Lord of hosts,“ Surely as Tabor is among the mountains And as Carmel by the sea, so he shall come.

As I live, saith the King, whose name is Jehovah of hosts, surely like Tabor among the mountains, and like Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.

As I live— this is the King’s declaration; Yahweh of Hosts is His name. He will come like Tabor among the mountains and like Carmel by the sea.

[ As] I live, saith the King, whose name[ is] the LORD of hosts, Surely as Tabor[ is] among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea,[ so] shall he come.

I the King, whose name is the LORD who rules over all, swear this: I swear as surely as I live that a conqueror is coming. He will be as imposing as Mount Tabor is among the mountains, as Mount Carmel is against the backdrop of the sea.

“ As I live,” says the King, whose name is Yahweh of Armies,“ surely like Tabor among the mountains, and like Carmel by the sea, so he will come.

But now Moab and his towns will be destroyed. His most promising youth are doomed to slaughter,” says the King, whose name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

One day she sent for Barak son of Abinoam, who lived in Kedesh in the land of Naphtali. She said to him,“ This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, commands you: Call out 10,000 warriors from the tribes of Naphtali and Zebulun at Mount Tabor.

even though you call yourself the holy city and talk about depending on the God of Israel, whose name is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

“ Cursed is the cheat who promises to give a fine ram from his flock but then sacrifices a defective one to the Lord. For I am a great king,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies,“ and my name is feared among the nations!

But the Lord is the only true God. He is the living God and the everlasting King! The whole earth trembles at his anger. The nations cannot stand up to his wrath.

The whole human race is foolish and has no knowledge! The craftsmen are disgraced by the idols they make, for their carefully shaped works are a fraud. These idols have no breath or power.

“ But listen to this message from the Lord, all you Judeans now living in Egypt:‘ I have sworn by my great name,’ says the Lord,‘ that my name will no longer be spoken by any of the Judeans in the land of Egypt. None of you may invoke my name or use this oath:“ As surely as the Sovereign Lord lives.”

And do not say,‘ By the earth!’ because the earth is his footstool. And do not say,‘ By Jerusalem!’ for Jerusalem is the city of the great King.

All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.

So Ahab went to eat and drink. But Elijah climbed to the top of Mount Carmel and bowed low to the ground and prayed with his face between his knees.Then he said to his servant,“ Go and look out toward the sea.” The servant went and looked, then returned to Elijah and said,“ I didn’t see anything.” Seven times Elijah told him to go and look.
