The Egyptian soldiers will cry out,‘ Pharaoh, our king, is only a loud noise. He has missed his chance to win the battle.’

Call the name of Pharaoh, king of Egypt,‘ Noisy one who lets the hour go by.’

There they will say,‘ Pharaoh, the king of Egypt, is a loudmouth who missed his opportunity!’

They shouted there,‘ Pharaoh king of Egypt is nothing but a big noise; He has let the appointed time pass by!’

They cried there,‘ Pharaoh, king of Egypt, is but a noise. He has passed by the appointed time!’

They cried there, Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he hath let the appointed time pass by.

There they will cry out,“ Pharaoh king of Egypt was all noise; he let the opportune moment pass.”

They did cry there, Pharaoh king of Egypt[ is but] a noise; he hath passed the time appointed.

There at home they will say,‘ Pharaoh king of Egypt is just a big noise! He has let the most opportune moment pass by.’

They cried there,‘ Pharaoh king of Egypt is but a noise; he has let the appointed time pass by.’

The princes of Zoan are complete fools; Pharaoh’s wisest advisers give stupid advice! How can you say to Pharaoh,“ I am one of the wise, a student of eastern kings”?Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you and reveal what the LORD of Armies has planned against Egypt.The princes of Zoan have been fools; the princes of Memphis are deceived. Her tribal chieftains have led Egypt astray.The LORD has mixed within her a spirit of confusion. The leaders have made Egypt stagger in all she does, as a drunkard staggers in his vomit.No head or tail, palm or reed, will be able to do anything for Egypt.On that day Egypt will be like women and will tremble with fear because of the threatening hand of the LORD of Armies when he raises it against them.

Then Ben-hadad sent messengers to him and said,“ May the gods punish me and do so severely if Samaria’s dust amounts to a handful for each of the people who follow me.”

The enemy said:“ I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil. My desire will be gratified at their expense. I will draw my sword; my hand will destroy them.”

“‘ Who then are you like in glory and greatness among Eden’s trees? You also will be brought down to the underworld to be with the trees of Eden. You will lie among the uncircumcised with those slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his hordes. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.’”

Egyptians are men, not God; their horses are flesh, not spirit. When the LORD raises his hand to strike, the helper will stumble and the one who is helped will fall; both will perish together.

So he said,“ If they have marched out in peace, take them alive, and if they have marched out for battle, take them alive.”

Speak to him and say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Look, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great monster lying in the middle of his Nile, who says,“ My Nile is my own; I made it for myself.”

Their inhabitants have become powerless, dismayed, and ashamed. They are plants of the field, tender grass, grass on the rooftops, blasted by the east wind.But I know your sitting down, your going out and your coming in, and your raging against me.Because your raging against me and your arrogance have reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth; I will make you go back the way you came.
