The nations will hear of your shame; your cries will fill the earth. One warrior will stumble over another; both will fall down together.”

你能勝過挪亞們嗎？它坐落在眾河之間，周圍有水，海作它的城郭，海作它的城牆。古實和埃及是它的力量，沒有窮盡，弗人和路比人是它的幫手。但它被流放，被人擄去，它的嬰孩也被摔碎在各街頭；人為它的貴族抽籤，它的權貴都被鎖鏈鎖住。

「猶大悲哀，城門衰敗；眾人坐在地上哀慟，耶路撒冷的哀聲上達。

不要容快跑的逃避，也不要容勇士逃脫；在北方幼發拉底河邊，他們絆跌仆倒。

「我使你在列國，在你所不認識的列邦中滅亡。那時，我必使許多民族的心因你愁煩。當我在他們面前舉起我的刀，我要使許多民族因你驚恐，他們的君王也必因你極其恐慌。在你仆倒的日子，他們各人為自己的性命時時戰兢。主耶和華如此說：巴比倫王的刀必臨到你。我必藉勇士的刀使你的軍隊仆倒；這些勇士都是列國中兇暴的人。他們必使埃及的驕傲歸於無有，埃及的軍隊必被滅絕。

「當那日，從魚門必發出悲哀的聲音，從第二城區發出哀號的聲音，從山間發出破裂的大響聲。這是耶和華說的。

他們只得屈身在被擄的人之下，仆倒在被殺的人中間。雖然如此，耶和華的怒氣並未轉消；他的手依然伸出。

沒有死的人都受痔瘡的折磨。城裏的哀聲上達於天。

有哀號的聲音從巴比倫出來，有大毀滅從迦勒底人之地而來。

我的心為摩押哀號；它的難民逃到瑣珥，逃到伊基拉‧施利施亞。他們上魯希坡，隨走隨哭，在何羅念的路上，因毀滅發出哀聲。寧林的水乾涸，青草枯乾，嫩草死光，青綠之物，一無所有。因此，摩押人所得的財物和積蓄都要運過柳樹河。哀聲遍傳摩押四境，哀號的聲音達到以基蓮，哀號的聲音遠及比珥‧以琳。

因他們仆倒的聲音，地就震動，哀號的聲音傳到紅海那裏。
