耶和華對耶利米說：“你要這樣對他說：‘耶和華這樣說：看哪！我所建立的，我必拆毀；我所栽種的，我必拔除。我必這樣對待全地。

But the Lord has told me to say to you,‘ This is what the Lord says: I will overthrow what I have built and uproot what I have planted, throughout the earth.

But here is what the Lord has told me to say to you, Baruch.‘ The Lord says,“ I will destroy what I have built up. I will pull up by the roots what I have planted. I will do this throughout the earth.

Thus shall you say to him, Thus says the Lord: Behold, what I have built I am breaking down, and what I have planted I am plucking up— that is, the whole land.

“ Baruch, this is what the Lord says:‘ I will destroy this nation that I built. I will uproot what I planted.

“ This is what you are to say to him:‘ This is what the LORD says:“ What I have built I am about to demolish, and what I have planted I am about to uproot— the whole land!

This is what you are to say to him:‘ This is what the Lord says:“ Behold, what I have built I am going to tear down, and what I have planted I am going to uproot, that is, all the people of the land.”

“ Thus you shall say to him,‘ Thus says the Lord:“ Behold, what I have built I will break down, and what I have planted I will pluck up, that is, this whole land.

Thus shalt thou say unto him, Thus saith Jehovah: Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.

“ This is what you are to say to him:‘ This is what the Lord says: What I have built I am about to demolish, and what I have planted I am about to uproot— the whole land!

Thus shalt thou say unto him, The LORD saith thus; Behold,[ that] which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up, even this whole land.

The LORD told Jeremiah,“ Tell Baruch,‘ The LORD says,“ I am about to tear down what I have built and to uproot what I have planted. I will do this throughout the whole earth.

“ You shall tell him, Yahweh says:‘ Behold, that which I have built, I will break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.

我甚麼時候宣布要拔出、拆毀、毀滅一邦或一國，如果我論到的那一邦轉離他們的惡行，我就必回心轉意，不把我原定的災禍降給他們。同樣，我甚麼時候宣布要建立、栽植一邦或一國，如果他們行我眼中看為惡的事，不聽從我的話，我就必回心轉意，不把我應許的好處賜給他們。

我先前怎樣留意把他們拔出、拆毀、傾覆、毀滅和降災；將來我也必照樣留意把他們建立和栽種起來。”這是耶和華的宣告。

今日我立你在列邦列國之上，為要拔出、拆毀、毀滅、傾覆，又要建立和栽植。”

你從埃及帶走一棵葡萄樹，你趕出外族人，把這樹栽上。你為它預備了地土，它就深深扎根，充滿全地。它的蔭影遮蓋了群山，它的枝條遮蓋了高大的香柏樹。它的枝條伸展，直到大海；它的幼苗，直到大河。你為甚麼拆毀它的籬笆，任由所有過路的人採摘呢？從樹林中出來的野豬踐踏它，田野的走獸把它吃了。萬軍的神啊！求你回心轉意，從天上垂看鑒察，眷顧這葡萄樹，眷顧你右手栽種的根，和你為自己培育的兒子。這樹已被火燒，被砍下；他們因你臉上的怒容滅亡。

那栽種你的萬軍之耶和華，已經宣布降災攻擊你，是因以色列家和猶大家自己所行的惡；他們向巴力燒香，惹我發怒。

於是，耶和華後悔造人在地上，心中憂傷。耶和華說：“我要把我創造的人，從地上消滅；無論是人或牲畜，是爬行的動物或是天空的飛鳥，我都要消滅，因為我後悔造了他們。”

他把園子的泥土挖鬆了，撿去石頭，栽種了上好的葡萄樹；在園中建造了一座守望樓，又鑿了一個榨酒池。他期望結出好葡萄，卻結出野葡萄。耶路撒冷的居民和猶大人哪！現在請你們在我與我的葡萄園之間斷定是非吧！我為我的葡萄園所作的以外，還有甚麼要作的呢？我期望它結出好葡萄，它為甚麼倒結出野葡萄呢？現在我告訴你們，我要怎樣處理我的葡萄園：我要把它的籬笆撤去，使它被吞滅；我要把它的圍牆拆毀，使它被踐踏。我要使它荒廢，不再修剪，也不再耕耘，荊棘和蒺藜卻要長起來；我也要吩咐雲不再降雨在園子上。因為萬軍之耶和華的葡萄園就是以色列家，他喜悅的樹就是猶大人；他期望的是公平，但看到的只是流血的事；他期望的是公義，聽到的只是哀叫聲。
